Repeating today's TO total would be nice. Flipping the home-guest 3 point shooting percentages from today would be a nice accompaniment.

Richmond lost at home this afternoon to Hampton (MEAC) by 20 points. I repeat. By 20 points.

Some facts on Richmond:
After the Hampton loss, they are ranked 184th on KenPom. They are a poor defensive team, ranking 325th of 353. They are also very bad at offensive rebounds - second worst in the nation (352nd of 353). They do not defend 2 point shots well (325th), but they are great at shooting two's (7th nationally), but bad at shooting threes (244th).
They also don't turn it over much on offense (64th), and about average in forcing turnovers (156th).
Their highest usage player - by far - is sophomore Grant Golden who has very high usage of 33.2% on efficiency of 101.7. He's 6'10, so I assume a big, especially given that he seems to shoot a lot of twos, and pretty well. So that will be a matchup for Govan/Mourning/LeBlanc.

Golden had 24 against us last year, including four 3s. “He can score both inside and outside, he can pick and pop, he can shoot the 3, he has great moves in the post,” said Ewing, a 7-foot member of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame. “And he showed it.” www.richmond.com/sports/growth-of-ur-s-grant-golden-caught-eye-of-hall/article_b464947f-7695-5bd4-940c-6f2e0e9dac32.html

So far this year, Golden is 2-14 on threes, and last year he went 22-80 (27.5%). It's interesting that 10% of his entire three attempts for last season came against us.

For all the talk on Golden's versatility he is definitely a Brooks Sales Award winner for Hoya-specific three-point shooting. There is nothing in the scouting report that would have Golden mistaken for a three-point threat except for that game.

Is there still a game tonight? No discussion for the last 16 hours - not like the old days.
I want to see some fire in Jessie tonight. Smoother offensive sets. And of course some outside shooting proficiency.
No reason we can't get a comfortable W here, but we still seem to find a way to struggle through some stretches of every game.

Will we have a plan to contain Golden this year? Will there be lessons learned from last year?

I remember when Sherod's GRANDfather Edmund played vs. us for VCU. I believe it was an ECAC game for an NCAA berth. We lost. Ouch on a couple of levels.

I was happy to see a big improvement in TOS against a team that forces a lot of them. Would like to see more good (and made) 3-point attempts tonight, as another sign of progress.

Line moved from Hoyas -12.5 to -14.5. I assume because of Sherod's ACL.

Richmond is terrible. Anything less than a 20 point win is a bad look. I think Jamorko goes off.

With Richmond's 2 point defense being second worst in the country, if we can't score against them, we are in big trouble the rest of the season. We *should* win this one going away. That doesn't mean we will, but we should.

Would like to see Pickett score around 15pts, another Mourning double-double, Mcclung to make three 3's, Akinjo with about 15-7-4 stat line, Mosley/Blair/Johnson 15total pts and the team under 15 TO's for the game. I think i covered everything right lol?
