Not on Twitter so limited knowledge - but it looks like Dikembe is the one who tweeted it out - including @georgetownhoops and @georgetownathletics. So maybe your beef is with Dikembe?
Let me know how that works out😉😁

Let us try not over scrutinize the kid (and any kid for that matter), he is an amateur athlete after all. If people want to follow his personal life they can follow his social media, what is the point of updating us with his personal, non-related life? And please don’t use the sorry, indecent excuse, “well he put it on the internet, it’s fair game!” Why add extra pressure to his plate? What do you think goes through his mind when he comes on here to find every little thing posted? I’ve thought this about other recruits in the past, maybe it’s this new generation we’re in but it seems unnecessary to me. Like I said, if people want to know what the kid ate for breakfast they can go follow him on social media, but this is a basketball site. Not sure how knowing he won homecoming king helps me (or anyone) understand what he brings to the court... It's not that serious. If such minor things like sharing an instagram post gets you so worked up you really need to find a better use of your time.

I read it as celebrating the kid, but you do you

Speaking - or writing - only for myself, I think it's great to see a photo of Ryan and his dad, who happens to be one of the greatest Hoyas of all time and a member of the HOF. Notable also because of comments made a while back that Ryan and his dad are not on the best of terms. They look pretty darn happy there. Kid looks happy. So glad he is coming to GU. He and his dad are class acts. Thanks for sharing that with us Yaboy.

Personally, I took it as a more casual thing and a nice one too that, while Ryan is a highly-coveted prospect, he's also just a regular HS kid. Glad to see he's enjoying that time as opposed to just being all about being a recruit. Your point is well-taken but, every now and again, it's a nice reminder that these guys, while really talented, are also HS and college kids and should be allowed to and encouraged to be so.

Rock, my point is that Dikembe tweeted it at the GU athletics and hoops Twitter sites, a proud father wanting to share with Hoya fans. It was linked here so old fogie fans not on Twitter (like me) could see it. While I agree that some posts on here are uncomfortably stalkeresque, I don't see this one that way at all.

Thank you Frazier. I would have a problem if Ryan posted it himself. I have zero problem with his father doing it. He’s celebrating life and his son.

I'm glad this is out there so we never have to hear another "maybe he's a walk on and we have an extra scholarship" theory. He signs, he's using a scholarship.
