The lefty bank of the glass was a nice move to see. Very bouncy.

You can't teach quickness and athletic ability...and he has both...he runs the court like a deer...wiry/long and will get stronger...nothing but upside here.

Polo, how often are you updating your recruiting spreadsheet? Typically within 1-2 days of any news of a new prospect/offer/visit/commitment. Rankings I update less frequently.

“I try to find a way to stay in the game and have an impact on the game, if it’s not on the offensive end then it is on the defensive end,” Wilson said. “A couple of years ago, I would have never imagined to be able to do what I am doing now. But you need to be able to believe in yourself and know you can do whatever you want. “I just have kind of fallen in love with the game, my teammates and coaches in the process of grinding and getting better. It has come with a lot wins for myself and the team.” Stoneman said having a guy like Wilson at the back end of the defense really makes it easier to game plan on defense and lets Ridge View guards play more aggressively. Plus, many of Wilson’s blocks and rebounds lead to fast-break opportunities for the Ridge View guards Walyn Napper, Crosby Harris-James and Cincere Scott. The Ridge View players said they feed off Wilson’s ability on the defensive end and when the mild-mannered senior shows aggression on the court. In third round of the playoffs, Wilson got his lone technical foul after talking trash following one of his blocked shots. “I love when I see Malcolm get fired up and the tech fired us up,” Napper said. “The coach didn’t care about the tech because when Malcolm is fired up, then the whole team is fired up. I love having Malcolm on my team. It is hard for teams to make layups because he alters every shot. So much Roy in the whole package.
Smart, soft spoken kid who has a positive attitude. Great physical gifts - if not exactly the same as Roy - and a willingness to work on getting better.
If he can improve his game and his frame half as much as Roy did, he'll be a very good one.

(Guibunda didn't count). Georgetown is overloaded at the five and that means some people will sit. For a while, even.

I think its evident from one interview and the fact we have signed so many bigs that he was told that he was gonna redshirt, he stated teams had told him that was their plan for him. It's good to see that he is invested in the process as much as the game because that's probably his life for the next 2 years.

If that is the plan that could be a big plus to have that extra time to be tutored by coach EW while also while working to improve his strength.

I dont know where you folks get it that he is red shirting....maybe he will. Nor do I get he is like Roy Hibbert. He may be underdeveloped physically but Roy couldn't walk and chew gum when he arrived according to many accounts. Malcolm seems to know who he is....he can run and move fluently. On his team, the guards don't look for him at all on offense and he does all the garbage work and anchors the defense! He does have to work on building his physique. I'm glad he chose the Hoyas. I love his attitude. The next four years should be fun! They say it take awhile for big guys to develop. We will have a helluva bullpen for the next years. Go Hoyas!

I also think we may be erroneously thinking of Wilson as a 5 in college. Given his fluidity of movement and speed, and slender frame, he might project to a 4 in the Big East. If Leblanc continues to develop that jumper, he may slide to the 3 ultimately.

So we want a guy who can’t shoot or dribble playing the 4

He has the tools to be a fantastic pick n roll defender in the 4 spot. I also think we could have a heckuva 3-2 zone if we chose to go that way.

Remember my wish for the incoming class...at least one 2-3 zone defensive set with Iggy, Q, and Malcom with arms spread across the paint...hahaha

Go Hoyas! the interview he had where he said some schools are talking about him redshirting. At that point he was involved with Rice, Clemson and us only.
