Those are also usually on Fox Sports Go.
I definitely prefer the Fox Sports Networks over CBS Sports or Stadium (or Big Ten Network for the Gavitt game).

MASN2 in the DC area. I think YES and NESN if you’re in the Northeast. Otherwise it’s the regional fox sports networks.

Last year Fox Sports in the DC area didn't rollover to MASN, the games were just lost. Later in the year the games would rollover to CBS Sports for regional coverage. The Fox Sports Network still isn't well built out and their production quality for many of the Big East games is rather poor compared to other networks. With the purchase of Fox Network this year the Fox Sports and Fox News were not part of it. Comcast / NBC Sports was trying to pick-up Fox Sports, but I don't think that happened.

It was really strange.

Jeez. It may be a reflection of where our program (and our schedule) stands right now that we are left scrounging for TV coverage. Quite a few games, including at least one conference game IIRC, are in this category.

Not true, as mentioned earlier they rolled over to MASN2. Only one game wasn't televised last year @ Richmond, which was aired only on Stadium (the A-10's affiliate)

I've also had issue trying to catch non-Georgetown games that aren't on Fox Sports 1 or 2, but on their streaming service and stating not available.

Quite a few games, including at least one conference game IIRC, are in this category. Pretty much every game is on television, which cannot be said for a lot of other programs. Even programs in the ACC have games on "ACC Network Extra," which is not nearly as widely available as the Fox regional networks. Or take the Big Ten - Illinois (who we are playing) has at least 5 games in the OOC that are only available via streaming, and not on TV at all. The Big East actually has really strong TV coverage, in that pretty much all games - including out of conference games - are on TV. That's not true, even in the other bigger conferences. (It's also easy to forget that in the old Big East, we'd even have occasional conference games that were not even on TV, but rather ESPN3.)

Does anyone living in Florida who has Comcast know what channels we will be on? Just moved down here from NY a couple months ago and am trying to get this figured out

Just moved down here from NY a couple months ago and am trying to get this figured out Likely either Fox Sports Florida or Fox Sports Sun, depending on where in Florida. I would not be surprised if you got both of these networks, as depending on the cable company and what package you have, sometimes multiple of the regional Fox Sports networks are available in the same market.

Just a confirmation of what was already said. When I visit my family in Florida (West Palm area) over the holidays I'm definitely able to watch Hoyas games with their Comcast equipped TVs. Not sure if they have Fox Sports Florida and/or Fox Sports Sun, but I'm definitely able to watch.

I'm a season ticket holder and I'm not usually one to complain about the schedule but... has anyone figured out why in the world we are opening on Tues 11/6 vs UMES at 8:30 pm?

The almighty television dollar of course. I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of conditions would make Hoyas vs UMES more appropriate at 8:30 vs earlier. Maybe it really is trying to account for it being election night and people voting in the evening? Otherwise I don't see how an 8:30 pm start helps Fox Sports regardless of election coverage competition. Or maybe it is part of some kind of double-header. Seems likely that the late start, it being election night and having a no-name opponent will overcome any normal bump that comes from it being opening night. Poor planning IMO.

So two of the EDT teams have to play in the later time slots for TV scheduling. Either by choice, luck, or projected ratings, Georgetown is one of those two teams. Villanova 7:00 FS1 Marquette 9:00 FS1 Seton Hall 6:30 FS2 Xavier 8:30 FS2 Providence 6:30 FSN Creighton 8:30 FSN St. John's 6:30 FSN Georgetown 8:30 FSN

Still sucks, but at least I know why it sucks. I wonder how engaged students will be to come to the game on election night?

I wonder how engaged students will be to come to the game on election night? Given by their activity over the last few years, not many.
