Villanova home is on a Wednesday at 6:30pm. Terrible for fans. Great if you don't want anybody to see us get creamed. I have back to back classes on Wednesday afternoons/evenings...I know it's a busy day for a lot of other students as well. Unfortunate both as a fan and a season ticket holder.

I like that we don’t have a “two games in three days” stretch in the schedule. Also, I like that the DePaul and Marquette away games are back to back. That’s one less roundtrip.
Last regular season game is on March 9th? Pretty late. Don’t remember one this late.

Not sure John Rothstein's sources are credible on this. Since the reformation, the BIG EAST has shown it likes to start it's conference play with all 10 teams in action in a marathon watching type format on FS1. If the 29th is the starting date of conference play, then realistically only 4 teams for sure will be in action on the 29th and no more then 6 total if DePaul and Georgetown who haven't announced their OOC yet, are open that weekend. Creighton, Marquette, and Butler all play OOC between the 27-29 with Butler at Florida in a major showdown on Saturday the 29th. I doubt any team will play an OOC game and then their first conference game a couple days later. Unless the conference is going against their own history and starting a staggered conference play schedule, the 29th of December isn't a realistic conference starting date. More realistic date is the January 1st. So much for Rothstein's sources stating BIG EAST conference play would begin on the December 29th....

He might have just meant that 12/29 is the earliest date of a conference game. Seton Hall-St John's is that day.

That final 5 isn't exactly a Murderer's Row. Hopefully we'll be in a decent position at that point. A 4-1 finish would be nice.

Two days later Isaac Copeland committed. But yes, it’s late.

Only three Saturday home games while classes are in session: 1/12: Providence 2/9: Butler 3/2: Seton Hall A rough year for ticket revenue. Even worse, according the academic calendar March 2 is the first day of spring break. If that's correct, this is the first time since I started following the team that the Big East Tournament isn't during spring break.

We have no good non- conference games???
Cuse and Illinois I think. Is Illinois even good?
I don’t want to go back to terrible scheduling.

Who lives in CHI and Milwaukee and wants to buy us drinks?

We play 18 games in one of the toughest conferences in the country. Sure a quality non conference win could help us sneak into the tourney if we have a mediocre conference record. But 12-6 conference record plus 2 BE tourney wins and we're in. Maybe even 11-7 with 2 BE tourney wins. We have a built-in SOS as members of the BE so let's just take care of business there.
