Ends game by LSU up 7 with 1 min to go..3 by McClung, missed shot by TTU and LeBlanc doesn't block out McClung. McClung rebounds and hits 3 to cut to 1. McClung deflect inbound pass to teammate that score for TTU to take lead and win game. đ Crazy game there and great win by Hoyas after time off!

Interesting stats for McClung last night. Only played 18 minutes and scored a season low 4 points but had 6 assists in that limited playing time.

Interesting stats for McClung last night. Only played 18 minutes and scored a season low 4 points but had 6 assists in that limited playing time. 2 quick fouls early in the game, so only played about 8 mins in the first half... the second half they jumped out to a 20+ point lead so Beard rolled with 5 reserves for much of the second half. When he was on the floor his scoring wasn't really needed like it is most games so he was content to make the extra pass. Another sign of maturation to his game... instead of looking "to get his" in the second half he continued to look for his teammates. TJ Shannon also told Beard in the second half he could give his minutes to the third string center Goldin. Shannon is also the same guy that offered his starting spot to the freshman Peavy to help his confidence earlier in the season. Nice group of unselfish kids, and playing with someone like Shannon opposed to Akinjo must be a complete 180 for Mac. |
