Xavier pays players, right? I think it was a sports agent that payed edmond Sumner not Xavier itself.

During the Xavier game broadcast, Steve Lappas was highlighting the importance of Coach Ewing recruiting locally and landing top D.C. talent. He used Jamorko as an example. Really, Derrickson is local too, although he prepped up at Brewster Academy.
Important to recruit and land local talent.
JT3 did well for a period of time landing Freeman, Wright, Clark, Hopkins, and Campbell from the WCAC, Starks from Georgetown Prep, Whittington from Oakland Mills, Summers from Baltimore, Macklin and Copeland from Virginia. You mix in a couple national recruits like Monroe, Sims, Lubick, Porter, DSR, White, Peak, and Govan and you have...oh wait...that didn't work out so well...
Actually, looking back on it, it was probably the right mix on paper, but for a variety of reasons JT3 never achieved the desired NCAA tournament results after 2007...

To be honest with you, I haven't seen Harris play that much. But what I do see he has vision and makes great passes from the wing position he was playing on Saturday. Strong and explosive. His teammate was running the point for most of the game. Also, Harris has a nice jumper. I guess from what I saw he'd be a nice combo-guard but may be able to play the point guard position. He has a great coach in Farello as well. I think if we'd get him he be a great addition. I think his defense is on point as well. I need to see more of the kid this summer. Saw him with his dad. Pretty big dude his dad is looking like BustaRhyme lmao.

Also, mix in a true point guard from the DMV will work wonders. I don't care who the kid may be as long as he's a true point guard

This was my point about Devonish, a local kid, who's a point guard. Also, mix in a true point guard from the DMV will work wonders. I don't care who the kid may be as long as he's a true point guard

Harris is the epitome of a blue-collar gamer that competes extremely hard. The four-star prospect is more of a tweener that is difficult to be defined by a specific position, so Harris is best labeled as a ballplayer. He is a crafty ball handler that can score through contact at the basket and while his shot has improved, Harris’ best still comes on the defensive end. Virginia Tech, Maryland, Xavier, Ohio State and Wake Forest are some of the programs under consideration. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/evans-takeaways-metro-challenge-60

Haven't watched much of Harris, but he's got a DSR build.
Game seems a bit similar, too. A little more athleticism, a little less shooting and overall creativity offensively.
Is that about right?
