I wonder how seventh woods feels lolll Woods never turned into the offensive player that many people thought he would coming out of high school. He had his share of injuries in the last few years and never seemed to full develop into the player most expected. He did become a strong defender and a good player in transition, but he was behind White last year and just never saw as much playing time as I think he wanted. He would be in the same boat this upcoming year behind Anthony. If he was a grad transfer who was available right away he is worth a look, but if he needs to sit a year to play one year I am not sure he is worth tying up a scholarship for two years to play just one.

Remember when we wanted him quite badly? He should have come to GTown. It would have been better for him and us. 7th got stuck behind Joel and the lack of PT probably stunted his development. It has always been my belief that you get better from real game situations not from unpressured practice situations....imo

Players who are outstanding but not quite all-world can really do a disservice to themselves by going to a so-called blue blood and getting lost there.

While I believe practice is really important too - there is so much to learn, skills to develop, etc. Taking what one has learned and practiced and applying that in real games? That's where the greatest learning occurs. IF that is backed up with film work - with the coaches showing what they are seeing? Even better - best way to advance one's understanding... and improving performance.
