He appears to be getting ready for a great senior year. Praying he gets it.

He will be a critical part of where this team goes next season. A little stronger, a little tighter handle, more confidence in his shot could produce a great senior season.

JP should become a captain next year.

I think he will be a 18 point 8/9 rebounds a game next year. He showed improvement this year. Just better ball handling. Be ok.go Hoyas.

Jamorko really stepped up his rebounding this year -- the effort and positioning was much better as the year went on. And there were multiple games that he came up with key blocks or defensive plays that I was surprised were him. It seems he gained confidence in those areas. But he still didn't seem to have the confidence on the offensive end -- if he hit a shot or made a good drive, you could see his whole body language change and he'd try "extra hard" after that (not always to good effect), but if he missed a couple shots or had a bad turnover (which happened more than we'd like), you could see it hurt his confidence. If he can find the confidence he gained on the boards/defense this last year in his offensive game this next year, he could have a really good senior year. He has the physical tools as everyone always says and occasionally he shows the game, but consistency is really where it's at for him. I would love to see a Henry Sims Redux as someone mentioned.

Gotta keep working. He has the skills, needs to keep his confidence when things aren't going right. If he could put it all together he has all-conference ability.
If.
So keep working!

Thanks for sharing that Dan. I like his message. He sounds determined to make the most of his senior year.

He should be the captain!! Agreed. His twitter feed really makes me smile. I know some folks on campus who think that he is "a really nice kid." For us, he has obviously been an enigma. Glad he's letting us in so that we can see the solid man he has become. Rooting like hell he gets a full season this year.

I've been tough on Pickett, because he has struggled a lot on the court in his time as a Hoya. But, as others have said, he seems like a nice kid, and he's stuck with the team through tough times. If we are going to do more than occupy the bottom 1/3 of the Big East next year, we need Pickett to really step it up for his senior season. I truly hope he does.

He should be the captain!! Co-captains with Jahvon? Juggy hung in there and just kept working until his time came. A pretty good example for all the young guys coming in.

Jamarko had some of his best games at the tail end of the season. Somethings it just clicks and I think it happened for him. He’s ready for the jump.

I picked him as our second scoring option pre-sophomore season. Didn’t happen. I just hope the kid is working hard, is driving his neighbors crazy with the all-day dribbling and something just clicks.

Do you think Akinjo understood how to get JP the ball and worked to make it happen?

Regardless of Akinjo, who averaged 5.2 assists that season, Pickett was consistently inconsistent that season and faded from mid-February on. Hopefully he’s all-league next year.
