Often these odd start times are dictated by TV issues. What's weird is that being part of the BB&T, the GW v. Temple game starts at 2:30 -- there's at least a 90 minute gap between games and tickets gain you admission to both. That's a long time between games.

Will Coppin St be gassed from playing in Ohio tonight and traveling, or will we be so cold after a week off it wont matter ?

I assume they wanted to account for the risk of the first game going into overtime.

I'd like to see Pickett bounce back after that ugly game against Maine. He looked like he was trying to do too much and started allowing the mistakes to multiply through frustration. Normal freshman adjustments I think but it'd be nice to get him back on track. I think Pickett is a big games player to be honest, but we shall see.

I think Coppin State is such an awful basketball team it doesn't matter to the ultimate outcome, unless the concern is the size of our double digit win. EDIT: I realize this might come across as glib or sarcastic, but I did not intend it to come across that way. I really think the gap in talent level is so wide here that things like travel schedules, days off, etc., ultimately won't matter all that much. As with Maine, even if we play badly, we should easily win. The bigger question is how we play to get to that win.

From a fan perspective, fans can leave and re-enter the stadium between games. But yes it is an oddly long amount of time between games.

I think our records soley hinges on the freshman having good seasons. Blair I am the most confident because he is a taylor-made 6th man. No conscience shooting, volume scorer. he has some real ugly misses but he can go on rolls where he made 6 or 7 buckets in a 7 min stretch. Pickett, it will mostly be on D where he needs to improve. he is the worst defensive player I have seen in a Hoya uni in awhile. Walker, I am just hoping that he finds a way to be more aggressive when he is in there. I wasn't aware Pickett had been struggling that much. I think freshman year DSR holds the honors for worst defensive player I've ever seen since I started watching during the Braswell years. Agreed on Blair. Normally freshman are supposed to go through an adjustment process like Pickett, Otto Porter and every other player I've seen. Blair acts like he's been playing college ball for the past two years. I love his confidence. He can't stay in front of anyone and has no concept of help defense right now. It can change but every game is just turnstyle defense. Blair is a scorer. I like that he doesn't dwell on misses and has a diverse scoring game of jumpers, off the dribble pull ups and floaters.

I just want to fast forward to Syracuse. I'm sure the players have that feeling a little bit too.

Sodom better get 20 mins (if he doesn’t foul out). This game is going to be a monumental snoozer.

The early schedule has honestly been tough to really enjoy as a fan. I agree with those who have pointed out that there is a substantial difference between playing teams in the 150-250 range and then literally playing multiple of the ten worst teams in the country. I feel now much like I did before the Maine game--it's impossible to tell anything about the team we have from this game.
That said, I appreciate that so far we have handled these games. Georgia Tech lost last night to Grambling on an odd play. Games like that show that you can't really take an opponent for granted, and I hope we don't tomorrow night.

If you want a sneaky one on our schedule it's North Texas. Kenpom be damned, they can play.

Rather unusual to have two opposing coaches, each with an NCAA championship ring as a player.

Right now it's only important that the coaching staff has learned about the team, and themselves. What we have or haven't learned, or figured out, means next to nothing.
