There is such a massive disconnect between what polls say people want and what we are actually voting for. I hope I’m wrong eventually but we’ve had endless gun slaughter for years and nothing has changed.

If inserting more guns into the situation was the cure for this we would be the safest country on earth. Every country has crazy people but we're the only one that has this on the regular.
I don't understand how you get elected promising to help people and then do nothing about gun violence.

Tried to purchase from a licensed gun seller, got rejected, so he bought it from a private citizen. Then he went and shot 30 people killing 7. Why are Republican members of Congress against universal background checks?

This is what a normal country does when faced with horrible gun violence. Canada has no constitutional protection for firearms ownership, so that's settled law there. The US is one of three nations which does protect this constitutionally, so the tribalism between the City Party and the Country Party on this issue will not lead to any significant change as long as Fox and MSNBC instruct its viewers that compromise equals capitulation. |

Why are we making our kids go through this? Freeedommmmm!!!! It's amazing to me how calm the kids seem. I guess when this happens all of the time, even this stuff gets somewhat normalized. Stunning and deeply saddening. |
