I've seen Tom Crean's name already floated out there as a possible new head coach.

Given the fact that Thomas Bryant from Rochester was considered a strong Syracuse lean until a late switch to Indiana (an Adidas school) UL might want to pump the brakes on that idea.

Tick tock, Calipari...Kentucky frequently goes head to head with Louisville for recruits. Looking back at recruiting battles, it isn't hard to make a couple educated guesses.

Looks like Nike is now firmly in the crosshairs. . .which means Nike-affiliated schools will also be in the crosshairs.

I assume Pitino will be the next KFC spokesman? He's already got that horrendous white suit.

Some of the coaches on this list seem like pipe dreams. Why would Tom Crean, Thad Matta, or JT3 want to walk into this dumpster fire when the three of them would immediately be top choices in the off season to handle a non-scandalous team? I don't think any of the three are desperate to be hired elsewhere (we know JT3 is continuing to get paid this season, and my sense is Crean and Matta are getting paid at least one year too). Guys like Eaves are much more likely because of their connection to the university. They'd be silly to hire someone like Butch Beard who is washed up and couldn't get respect from players in the NBA.

Yea. This is essentially round 1 to get people to flip on those they don't have quite enough evidence to arrest yet. The Nike schools (potentially us included? though I'm not super worried) are the ones that should be getting nervous. They are likely the shoe company mentioned to be outbidding ADIDAS in most of these recruiting battles and once they have something to go after someone there, its the jig will officially be up. If we've been cheating, we've been doing a pretty Editeding ty job of it. I'm not worried about us. Agreed, though I don't really think any program is totally clean and therefore completely safe from this, including us. I believe PJ Dozier is being speculated as one of the players involved somehow so there is always a chance. That being said, there are other programs that are currently on their high horse that I think we all know better be destroying filing cabinets somewhere. Kentucky should be worried. Duke should be worried. Syracuse should be worried. Uconn and Chillious should be worried. Every SEC school should be worried. Based on how much money a 5* got to go to Louisville, there is enough money on the table that I really don't think this is the last round of arrests. If I were to guess, I'd think that Nike has to be the big fish here the Feds would be after as I would think they are probably the biggest spender of the show brands. No idea though, would be interested if anyone has any insight here.

Posters on the Louisville basketball forum at scout.com are convinced that the next head coach (not interim) at UL will be Xavier's Chris Mack.

Chris Mack is going to leave his alma mater of Xavier to go to a school that has a chance of getting SIGNIFICANT sanctions. Who is selling ocean front property in Arizona?

Vitale has to have lit a candle in his Little Ricky shrine room. Luckily we know Hypocrtizki was not involved because he was at Chris Duhon's Mom's new house while all this was going on...

Maybe we are going to be good next year! If say 50 teams in front of us lose coaches and players...
