I don't think it's ever a great sign when the player doesn't look like the best player on their own highlight reel. I don’t think it’s a good sign we keep offering kids who aren’t even ranked by major recruiting services. I get the rankings are subjective, but at some point there is a basis for what they do. If we want to take a flier on a kid every year like this (Sodom, Igohefe, Harris) that’s ok. But multiple kids in the same class just feels like we are really reaching when no other major offers are there. Hoyas gave out 70 reported offers in the class of 2020, most of which were ranked players.

I don't think it's ever a great sign when the player doesn't look like the best player on their own highlight reel. We are recruiting both....but it isn't House's highlight reel. It's the basketball team's. NYC just posted it as a reference.... I'm talking about the one that says "Jaden House Tournament MVP Highlights". The play that sticks out in the entire reel is #4's dunk. Anyone comparing Brandon Murray to these guys is silly though. Murray is another level of athleticism.

Murray is not coming and we still need a SG. We lose McClung and Blair after this season. Mac maybe sooner.

If there is one trait that will always be in demand with basketball coaches, it’s the ability to stretch defenses out with a perimeter jump shot. Jordan Hawkins showed this year with DeMatha Catholic High School (MD) that he can do that with the best of them and that’s why he’s now become a highly recruited prospect in the 2021 class. The four-star shooting guard says George Washington, Marquette, Memphis, Seton Hall, UConn and Xavier have been the most involved in his recruitment lately. He’s yet to visit any of them, but hopes to see all of them whenever prospects are allowed to get back on college campuses. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-junior-jordan-hawkins-fielding-more-interestDan highlighted him earlier in the week but Jordan Hawkins is one guy that would have seen his stock soar this spring. There is always a need for a good-sized wing that can really, really shoot the ball that is not at a disadvantage in the athleticism department, either. He played behind a giant cast of talent at DeMatha this winter but would have been ‘the guy’ this time around with the Team Durant program. Marquette, Memphis, Seton Hall, UConn and Xavier are five of the programs involved but if the live periods would have remained intact, Hawkins would have been on every recruiting board up and down the east coast by the time May arrived.

I've watched all the House videos that have been posted, and I haven't seen anything that compares to this. I haven't seen enough Folkes to judge. Murray has better lift than House.

First of all, last spring’s Brandon Murray seems to be carrying less weight than current Murray. And two, jumping ability/vert is hardly a representation of overall athleticism and is just one component. House is faster, quicker, better coordinated, quicker hips, just as strong, etc.

It's just a link showing that he started to follow Georgetown Recruiting twitter account recently. Read it as you like, but in the past that has been a predictor of future commitments. Also shows he is following Akbar Waheed. Others may pick out some other accounts of interest.

This kid has the potential to become a very good college guard...I love the description as an "athletic dog"...says he can play the 1 or 2, but I see him as a power 2GD...somewhat similar to Devantes Smith Rivera, but a little more athletic...hope he comes aboard, esp since he really wants to be a Hoya...

2021 Guard Ryan Conway Talks Upcoming Georgetown Visit “I will take an unofficial visit to Georgetown December 3rd,” said Conway. “I haven’t watched them play too much but I have heard so many great things about them.” As a freshman in high school, college coaches aren’t able to reach out to Conway directly yet, but he told D1Vision on Tuesday that Dayton and Xavier have both shown interest. The next member of the class of 2021 who has scheduled a time to make a commitment is Rivals150 point guard Ryan Conway. The six-footer is planning to announce on Saturday and has a final group of Marquette, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Stanford and Vanderbilt that he will be selecting from. As he prepares to commit, I've made my futurecast in favor of Kevin Willard and Seton Hall. Sources have indicated that the Pirates are the team to beat and from what I can see the two are a pretty good match of system and player. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/starting-five-n-c-state-off-to-hot-start-in-2021

I don’t see the recruitment of Trevor Keels coming to an end anytime soon. The five-star junior has improved his national standing immensely this winter, and in doing so he has seen his recruitment skyrocket. Keels is now a blueblood target who holds offers form both Duke and North Carolina, and it would be difficult to write off either program. His Paul VI Catholic High program produced UNC guard Anthony Harris and will see Jeremy Roach suit up for the Blue Devils next year. So, each program has a connection to Keels. Meanwhile, Keels has already taken official visits to Ohio State and Virginia and is expected to take a few more visits once his season wraps up in the coming weeks. Georgetown, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan and South Carolina remain involved, but one school to keep an eye on is Villanova. The Wildcats rarely become involved with a prospect if they feel like they don't have a chance of landing him. While they will have to defeat the bluebloods and a slew of national powers for him, Villanova might be the sneaky leader for him. There were some whispers last week that Trevor Keels was on the cusp of his college commitment. That was not true. Are there others that have invested more time into his recruitment? Among the perceived leaders for Keels are Villanova and Virginia. He has already taken an official visit to UVA, and also took one to Ohio State in the fall. It is never a smart thing to underestimate the chances of Duke or North Carolina, both of which signed one of Keels' high school teammates last year (Jeremy Roach at Duke, Anthony Harris at UNC). However, if someone like Michigan wants to enter the race, I can see Keels being willing to hear what Juwan Howard and his staff have to say. It might only help their cause further that Keels will have two travel teammates, Hunter Dickinson and Terrance Williams, that will soon enroll at the Big Ten program. I am not willing to bet against Duke, UNC, Villanova and Virginia, but Michigan could have a chance if it decides to place a priority on him in the coming months and Keels is willing to keep his recruitment open until the fall. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/twitter-tuesday-north-carolina-michigan-michigan-state-targets
