If he can’t step in and be a starter from day 1 then the last thing we need is another warm body. Save the scholarship for a top grad transfer or 2019. Agreed. Although there would be some satisfaction from Patrick snatching a recruit out of Magoo's clutches.

I watched Team Takeover last summer and wasn't impressed. Moved around like a big stiff. Not agile, lethargic, didn't finish well. He's a warm body, which unfortunately we are in need of even with Govan returning. But yeah, I agree with your assessment. He's definitely not a stiff, but he's also not an immediate impact guy

We have enough freshmen.

Staff must like him quite a bit. It sounds like there is only more roster spot available for next year and if they are bringing him on campus at this late date you have to think both sides are pretty serious. I was thinking that roster spot would probably go to a grad transfer they felt could step in and contribute right away. If they feel this player can contribute as a freshman then I hope it works out for the player and the staff. The highlights are pretty impressive. Looks to be a very solid fundamental player with really good range on his shot and impressive athleticism. Some people on this board who have seen him play seemed less impressed with him. The staff has been on a great roll lately, so I am going to trust them on this evaluation.

He is worth the roster spot just to spite cuse, any productivity beside that is gravy.

He shows some some skills in that video and some shooting range.

We have enough freshmen. Five freshman is a lot but really only a balance problem if they all stay four years and graduate together. That would be a huge talent drain that would impact the '22-'23 squad, but as we well know the chances that any five players stay all four years is pretty slim, given today's norms. And if it did happen the benefit of a senior laden squad might outweigh the potential problems. Add the fact that there are three opens for '19 - '20 and I think there is a pretty solid case that for the rebuilding Hoyas, five talented freshmen wouldn't be a bad thing.

She thanked the Illinois coaches, staff, team, and fans, but did not tag anyone. She thanked the Georgetown coaches, staff, and team, plus tagged her son, the team, and the university. I'd say it's a tie between Georgetown and Illinois at this point.

I am learning to trust the staff more given the ‘18 class (which i love), but I’m not that impressed by the clips I’ve seen. I’m sure others here on the board have seen him more. If given the choice, I’d go for Femi Olujobi on a one year commitment and save the scholarship for ‘19.

Wouldn’t mind saving this last scolarship for a late de commit or mid-year transfer. But I trust the staff.
