I think Malik Mack would be a home run for Cooley. Not the Twerps, please. We have heard all about the Hoya overloaded NIL $, let's do it. Get Chris Wright on the kid. BTW- like others, I bemoan Chris' broken wrist- it may have been Chris, and AF that made that run- not Kemba.

I saw Danny Wolf vs Vermont and he had a decent game against the Catamounts- 15 and 16, and it was clear that he is very skilled. But. Put it this way-IMHO- if Danny Wolf had Supreme Cooks motor he would be awesome, but at this point he doesnt.

Griffiths looked pretty good against the Hoyas. Crafty game and can hit the 3, although his shooting numbers overall last season weren't very good. I'm actually glad to not see G'Town on this list. He's a SF/PF, and we have Styles here with Caleb and Drew McKenna coming in. I also don't want to see anyone coming in the door that might affect Fielder's playing time. I want to see him getting at least 18-20 minutes per game next year (minimum). I also firmly believe in the McKenna hype, so I think he's definitely going to be seeing a fair bit of floor time in the 3/4 spot (the 4 spot obviously depends on what lineup the opposing team has on the floor). I think the 2 Drew's have serious upside to them, so I don't want too many guys coming in that might dig into their PT. I'm assuming Drew will be playing the 4 a bit next year, when teams are playing bigger lineups. If we have Supreme, Fielder and Sorber next year, that likely only leaves 1 spot open in the frontcourt (although I know G'Town has been said to be looking for 2). That number might be dependent on what happens with Supreme, does he enter the portal or not? The guy we bring in has to be a stud, and I would be disappointed if the guy we bring in is a Gavin Griffiths type. Fielder is a career backup/role player. If we get a player that is better than Fielder who cares about his playing time.

Chances are slim here plus I don’t see the fit for how Cooley has utilized his bigs in the past. If this info is true it’s a head scratcher for me.

If this info is true it’s a head scratcher for me. i think cools is realizing that sometimes a change in approach is needed and a good thing. he said in one of his final pressers that he has stumbled upon a lot of new concepts while trying to get creative to account for not having size in the middle, having horrible on-ball defenders, etc. now, those concepts didn't help but he believes they will help in the future. i think when he made an effort to feed the ball into cook during a few games, he saw that it could work. i think he's open for a different avatar if it will help. especially for the monsters in the big east. as long as they're tough in some way. GU got pimp slapped in the middle this year. it was embarrassing. and he realizes that.

He needs to put on weight so he doesn't get pushed around and he is a starter on most teams next year.

The problems are exacerbated because he is a hybrid 4/5. As he gets more experience, he will use that to his advantage and not allow it to be used to his disadvantage. Hopefully, he puts time in the weight room and with the agility ladder between now and next November.
