Maybe it was an emotional crushing? Eastern Lower Canada Community College did blow an eleven point lead.

I don't know if anyone else has seen some UConn games this year, but they are an absolute mess. I've seen at least two games this year where they would make last night's St. John's team look like a well-oiled machine. The Houston and Cuse games come to mind. They kill themselves with baffling shot selection and all-around lazy, low IQ basketball. They also have an incredibly thin bench due to injury. If we get them in foul trouble, we should be a good shape. Jalen Adams is a very good player, but not one that can carry this bad of a team. We must stay aggressive. This is a game we should not lose, especially at home.

Agreed. Saw a bit of Houston. They are awful. Must win #2 of 3 for the Hoyas if they are looking to claw their way back.

Can't over look this team. UConn has not played well at all but they are still made up of quality players. Even if we play like we did last night (not perfect), we should win this one walking away.
If we lose this, then the OOC will be an objective failure.

I'm gonna be honest, if we lose to UConn at home there is legitimately zero chance of any postseason. They are a worst team than DePaul imo. Even if it's a close game that's a bad sign. With Jagan and Mulmore getting settled into their roles there might be some small slivers of hope for this team, but a loss here and seasons pretty much over.

Any word on Campbell? Odd that he is "sick" but has been on the bench the last two games.

Didn't Tim Brando call Tre's issue a "Twilight Zone-type illness" or something like that. Basically sounded like he wasn't buying it. Hope Tre is alright, obviously, but who knows what is going on.

I wouldn't be crazy surprised if it was another case of transferitis. Isaac was also in a suit in a few games before he declared, and the lack of playing time at the position certainly doesn't help. I actually like Tre a lot so I wouldn't be happy if he left, but obviously I'd understand.

This is a serious question - so I apologize if it comes off in anyway threatening, but what is it that you like about Tre? Is it his game or just his personality? And if it's his play you like, what do you see as his strengths?

His play has certainly been underwhelming on the whole, especially on defense, but he has had a few very productive games, mostly when he is hitting from outside. And even as his minutes have diminished this year, he is still engaged on the bench and rooting for his teammates. And his stats are very similar to Mulmore, and not far behind Moseley's even after the last 2 games. He can be a piece of the puzzle we need to put together to be successful the rest of the way, even though he does not appear to have the potential of the other guards.

And if it's his play you like, what do you see as his strengths? I'm fully aware of his limitations on the court, so it's not just court play. I've been a huge fan of Tre since the Xavier game his freshman year where he got into a fight with J.P. Macura. For some reason seeing him jaw off at that slimey dude made me really like Tre after that. Also the random games where he goes off for 20+ help too. I see the potential for a solid shooter off the bench, but unfortunately I don't think he'll have that opportunity with LJ/Pryor on our team. At the end of the day, I really like all the guys on our team. I'm sad to see any of them leave us. Often times it's for the best for both parties, but pretty much every guy JT3 brings on are good guys with their head on straight. Sans some notable exceptions.

Tre's hit 20 points once in career, and never more than 14 after that.

Limit his minutes, put him on the wing. That's all. He can be our triple threat at both positions if we need him to be.
