I look at the Walton recruitment as being in a long line of guys we had little chance of getting. Plus, we are late here. I guess one day we may win an uphill battle. I admire Pat’s efforts on the recruiting trail. If we miss on Murray because we spent too much time chasing Walton, I’d be bummed.

I would love to see more jump shots and ball handling from our recruits. Slam dunks are sexy but, that ability is expected from me. We need big, tall scorers, 3 pt guys who can get their own shots!

Among the schools that he says he’s focused on: St. John’s, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Georgetown. He said those programs are still involved and it’s likely those are the four he focuses on.

With Davis off the board, what other top 150 guards in the 2020 class are we recruiting that have shown interest? Mane, Moore, I'm sure staff made some calls to Richmond once he reopened his recruitment. And this other kid here of late Brickus from Coatesville, Pa.

Lewis seems to have good hands & coordination for his size, but he makes Reggie C & Omer look like high-flyers.

Wonder if there’s a connection between his recent Kansas St offer and this announcement.

3. Late available prospects
A late blooming prospect from the Windy City that is completing his senior year at Compass Prep (Arizona), Seryee Lewis isn’t too far behind N’Guessan whenever it comes to making his college decision. Georgetown had begun to pick up traction with the versatile power forward but don’t discount Kansas State, either.

I believe N'Guessan is down to VT and St. Joe's and will be picking VT any day now.

The interesting angle with Lewis was being a high school teammate of Frankie Collins.

Don’t mean to say he will be as good as LeBlanc, only that he does a lot of the things well that Leblanc does well. Sets the tone defensivelt, brings energy when necessary, cleans up the glass. Enforcer on the court- a much needed role on this team with a tremendous amount of toughness graduating in Mr. Mosely. I really like Odusipe and his highlights, but do we know that he actually has an offer at this point? It looks like the staff was at his high school recently and offered another player on his high school team, I think an underclassman, but I have not seen an offer reported on verbal commits or anywhere else. I think someone said they saw something on a twitter account, but I wasn't sure if anyone had more concrete info. Two others to monitor: Tegra Izay, a throwback center, could be near his commitment with La Salle sitting as the favorite, while Akeem Odusipe might not be far off his own decision which could be given to Rhode Island. Both have the talent and size to impact the Atlantic-10 early and often next season. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/three-point-play-seniors-coaches-forced-to-make-adjustments

Three KSU crystal balls for Lewis last night. That works for me.
