Once again, these are not student-athletes. Colleges are running a minor league system.

There's no separate thread for Mane, and I don't think there's been much talk of him in this board. Do we have a chance here, or is this just a Hail Mary?

Agreed, but given that he's already visited Maryland and Marquette, they have to be seen as the favorites at the moment. Once he is able to visit Georgetown after travel limitations are lifted, or he reports that he has taken a virtual tour of Georgetown, or he formally announces Georgetown is one of the final X number of schools he's considering, then we can start a meaningful thread about him.

basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/wednesday-s-leftovers-greg-brown-karim-mane-duke“He has just taken a single official visit to Marquette on Jan. 4, and while the Golden Eagles remain a top suitor, Mane remains open to others. Beyond MSU, he is also speaking with Alabama, DePaul, Georgetown, Memphis, Pitt and Wake Forest. There was a belief earlier in the year that he might test the NBA waters, but there is now a better chance of Mane attending college in the fall.“ Can’t think we really have much of a shot here but who knows?

Looks like we are in Final 2 for this kid. Does anyone know anything about him?

Baton Rouge prospect McDonald ‘21 has an offer since last year, so maybe Kirby saw something there while keeping in touch with McDonald, who really likes GU.

I don’t understand the logic of our recruiting. We brought in 3 centers last year and now we may bring in 3 small forwards. Yet, the team doesn’t have a single PF and is in dire need of a capable SG.

Still have 3 scholarships left, so it's still possible to get a PF and a SG in addition to another SF.

Grad transfer Jordan Bruner, maybe 2020 Akeem Odusipe, maybe but probably not 2020 Abou Ousmane. Those are the only ones I have on my tracker at the moment, but given that we had never heard of Holloway before yesterday, I'm sure there are probably others out there.

Bruner would be the perfect fit. Good size, athleticism and skill set. Would be an instant starter and one of the best players on the team, at a position of need. It will be tough to land him because I am sure there are lots of teams involved, but it would be a huge win for the staff if they could get him
