I don't really care about next year as much as building consistency in the program. Not looking for a quick fix. This team wasn't struggling to score after the transfers. It wasn't until Mac and Yurt went down that the offense stalled. If Mac comes back healthy and the rest of our players can fall back into their proper tiers we will be ok. Juggy is a really good 2nd/3rd offensive option. When he has to be 1st option that's when we will struggle....a healthy Mac cures a lot of problems.... agree; before the injuries we were still scoring the ball.

Collins changes the trajectory of the program overnight. I’d take Collins if the question was Collins or everyone else left on our board (not including Mane - who isn’t realistic). True PGs who can facilitate, finish and shoot are the key to being competitive in today’s college game.
Plug in a dynamo PG, and other pieces will follow.

I agree that long term getting a player like Collins, and Murray, is best for the program, but even as talented as Collins seems to be, I think the team will struggle to score next year if they can't add at least one post grad player who can consistently give them points. Tough to count on freshman, even really good ones, to produce on a consistent basis in that first year as a D1 player. I trust the staff will do the right thing, and we can all argue as to what the right thing is, but if they use most of the rest of these open scholarships on freshman I think it tells us they are not really counting on competing to make the tournament next year. I don't really care about next year as much as building consistency in the program. Not looking for a quick fix. Agreed, but the “right” grad transfer can help accelerate the growth trajectory of the incoming class— too bad next years group didn’t have a year to learn from players like Jagan and Allen. Blair and Pickett are going to have to lead.

I haven't watched too much of him, but I see a lot of people gushing over his skill level. If he's physically ready and can go 20-25 per night as a FR, we'd be in really good shape.

I'd take Collins and Murray. Better for the long term if you build your program with Freshman imo. My only concern is being so iverloaded with one recruiting class, creates an imbalance down the road. Although yeah, I know, these things work themselves out.

My only concern is being so iverloaded with one recruiting class, creates an imbalance down the road. Although yeah, I know, these things work themselves out. Frazier - you were correct both times. 1. Too heavy in one class. but 2. How many kids stay four years? And I don't just mean leaving early for the Association. More important - given how many kids leave unexpectedly, or get hurt, or who knows what - the team needs a fully stocked roster just to have enough kids to practice. Of course, it also makes sense to leave one schollie (or even 2?) for a grad transfer or decommit. But if Coach has an opportunity to fill one of those spots with a really talented frosh? Heck, "a bird in hand". On a related point, it appears to me coach and staff are pulling out all the stops to rebuild the Hoya roster next season. 4 talented kids already and surrly more to follow. Let's hope today is productive for recruiting and getting a miraculous W!

Follows the recent trend of the staff not offering until they have seen a recruit a couple times.

It does seem like he has blown up a little bit in his senior year, but I don't think there is any way the staff can make room for him with Beard and Harris already in the boat. I am not a "we can't have 3 point guards in one class!!" guy, but Battle is not it. Guys like Collins and Farrakhan are worth the logjam, not Battle. ODU type schools should come sniffing around for sure.

If he’s already taken all his OV’s but wants to see come to dc from minny to see campus, we gotta have a solid chance here.
Would hate to see the coronavirus derail this recruitment :/
