Does anyone remember if JT3 and his staff previously offered him? I don’t think I have a record of an offer for him from the previous coaching staff. Pretty sure he got added to my radar when he attended Hoya Madness last season (2017). Thanks LCPolo...

MARCUS DOCKERY, DC PREMIER UAA 16U Coming off of a standout season at Theodore Roosevelt (DC), Dockery has picked up where he left off this spring while leading a Premier squad stocked with perimeter talent. Dockery posted 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in a 55-46 win over The District, showcasing his offensive versatility and playmaking ability. “It’s a very talented group,” he said. “We have a lot of upside and are very talented, and I think if all of us come together as one and get everybody involved we can win.” The 6-foot-1, 153-pound lefty transferred from Bishop Ireton to Roosevelt last summer and made an instant impact, earning All-DCIAA, DCSAA and DMVelite DC recognition while leading the Rough Riders in scoring. ”[The transfer] helped a lot,” he said, “because I’ve got a coach who is letting me shoot when I want to and get involved in the offense my first time being on the team. It just helped my confidence.” Cincinnati, George Mason, Georgetown, George Washington, Howard, La Salle, Oklahoma State, Rhode Island and Seton Hall are among the schools who have talked to Dockery. www.dmvelite.com/news_article/show/919253?referrer_id=3539797Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 2020 @dcpremierhoops guard Marcus Dockery will transfer into Bishop O’Connell this fall, a source tells @rivals. Huge fan of Terrence Williams. Feels like a Nova kind of player. Would be thrilled to land him. We should go all in.

Excellent news! Underrated scoring machine PG... Grab him! uhh watching this kids highlights how is he ranked so low? I've watched some of his play with the Puerto Rico National (?) team and he is good. He isn't a 5 star, nor a 4 star, but seems better than a 2 star. He seems to lack a blow away attack, his ball handling and finishing is sloppy at times (likely a focus issue, more than physical skills or needing work), but he is usually solid and controls the game well, and seems to have a decent outside shot. He has PG skills, likely better than the Hoyas had last year, but not as much of a self-creator nor great athletically (he is good, just not great, and nothing wrong with that).

Could be top 100 player. I agree he gets wild at at times but he is very creative in what I saw in finishing around the hoop and has a nice jumper.

Agree with Jason Clark comparison, but a short version of Clark. Clark also wasn't a point and was a 3 star. Four-star PGs have more athletic ability, better handles, few if no focus / mental lapses, and better passing / court vision. He may be close to Blair as well, who was a 3 star and greatly improved over the year. I've only watched his international 17U play. The competition is good, but most in it are two stars with some three stars. The better 17U players are playing up usually for non-USA teams. One of the games against Turkey was lacking their top players, who normally are playing at higher levels. He did well against them, but it wasn't 3 stars or higher he was playing against. It would be good to see him play against some solid grassroots teams like the Gauchos, who have a lot of really good guards who are three star to four star (there games are more well rounded and have better skills. I agree he isn't a 2, but I don't see anything that puts him at the level of a 4 star.

He had a great Hoya career. One of the most underappreciated JT3 players on probably his most underappreciated team ('11'-12). That said - I don't see much of a comparison at all. Curbelo looks like a quick, pound the ball, pass-first (eh...pass friendly?) PG. i'm never against having one of those. But he's got a tough road to be as talented an all-around player or as consistent a shooter at the next level as JC.

I just meant in terms of JC's long arms and ability to rebound at a shorter height because of that. I really liked what I saw. It's another one of those low ranked guys who can eventually be very good. the tools are there.

Typically a prospect committing this early is good for a local program...

Rivals just changed the prediction to a Georgetown commitment on Baldwin. Waiting on 247 to do the same.

Don't sleep on Seton Hall here. Coach Tony Skinn has been going hard after Ace Baldwin and several DMV kids since joining Seton Halls Staff this spring...
