Very winnable game on a neutral floor. If we could hang with the Final Four version of Wisconsin, I don't see why we can't take this one.

Come out with the same fire, energy, and focus as we did tonight, stay out of foul trouble and we can win this game.

At a minimum, I think we need to beat Wisconsin. If we do, then we essentially get a freeroll against Duke: win, and it's a great win, lose, and it's what everybody expected. KenPom puts us at 40% against Wisconsin, but I think we have a really good shot.
And, for what it's worth, after the 2K classic, KenPom projects us as a favorite to win every game until Creighton (away) in January. Even if we started 0-4, that would put us at 10-4, with a win over Syracuse and an away win at Charlotte. Sure, it's not the sterling resume we all wanted, but if we did that, and then proceeded to finish at 10-8 or 11-7 in the Big East (and my feeling is we will do better than that), we would be an easy tournament team, albeit with a lower seed. Obviously, we want a higher seed, but the key is to just keep improving.

Much easier to stay positive this time. I haven't seen much or read much about Wisconsin so I'm not sure what to expect. Will this be their first game since the loss or have they/will they play before Friday?
I hope no one looks past Wisconsin to Duke, it'll be a difficult game against a well coached team.

Wisconsin beat Siena on Sunday and then beat North Dakota tonight 78-64.

Zack Showalter 6'2 guard Keoenig and Hayes are pretty much going to play the whole game. Vitto Brown gets heavy minutes also.. Have to pressure Hayes and Keonig. How LJ handle that assignment is a major key obviously, he's been shooting a ton early in the season....
Let's get a W..

The guys now realize the level of intensity they have to bring every night. Big hopes for Friday and Sunday. But we need to improve on pretty much every aspect of our defense.

Copeland and Peak need to be more aggressive when DSR is in the game. It's time for them to make their jump. Can't be so dependent on DSR when it's crunch time. Start driving and shooting more Peak and Cope!

Ball screen defense was horrendous last night and the best zone offense Maryland ran. Hayes and Govan looked a step slow and got into foul trouble. Would expect a lot of that from Wisconsin on Friday after they watch this film.

They're too slow to race with the guards back to the hoop and end up fouling.

My brother is a Wisconsin grad. The result of this game will have a major effect on how pleasant Thanksgiving dinner will be.

If it helps, I lived in Wisconsin my whole life up until 5 months ago and am friends with the most annoying wisco fans on the planet. Would love to hold a win over their heads for a while

Still uncertain where this season is heading after two games, one of which they should easily have won and the other which they could easily have won. Clearly this is a big weekend for coach and team. Hopefully they are playing with the full team. Wisconsin has played mostly a 7 man rotation that is considerably smaller than last year and appears to rely less on outside shooting. Only one senior and the starters appear mostly to be experienced juniors with an inside combo of a junior at 6'8" and freshman at 6'9". A little surprising that they have struggled on defense in games and against Siena did not seem to defend dribble penetration very well--let's see if the Hoyas will continue some of the aggressiveness that they displayed in going to the basket against Maryland. Of course with Ryan's offense the game will not be high scoring and every possession will count.
