Well that article is a bit ridiculous. Trying to make the point III, the guy who set this whole thing in motion, of all people doesn't understand that basketball is more about winning. While I agree that we should have reciprocated, III gave Willard a ton of praise and appreciation in his post game interview so I am going to let it go. Especially since they got an easy lay-up on the following play anyways and we had to give up foul or time-out. Both of which are probably worth a point or two. I miss the old days (just go with me here) when we could generate ill-will with other Big East teams through stuff like "We threw fists in the Big East Tournament Final and no one got ejected" or "We played 4 times in one season when we were both ranked Top 5" instead of this and "Their coached slapped the floor a lot in the 90s at an ACC school".

Steve Politi is usually beating on the athletic program at Rutgers (plenty of material with which to work), so if he hasn't found something negative to use in his column, it hasn't been a good day for him.

Watch the postgame press conferences, he had no idea they were going to do that.

Tre Campbell continues to shine, when given legit PT. Beyond the great shooting, he was very cool under pressure handling the ball and taking over for DSR. I knew he was lighting fast and could hit the open three...but he is demonstrating an excellent handle, as well. Definitely hope to see several minutes per game in the future with DSR at the two and Tre at the point.

I was responding to the column that was posted. As I said, a *small* blemish on an outstanding day. Not sure that's "going there" to anyone but the hair trigger defensive.

I don't know about all you guys battling with each other, but I'm pretty darn happy that Tyler scored, we won without DSR, and with a #2 seed we can avoid playing xavier.

DSR misses the game with an injury. . .Jabril Trawick takes over like a senior should. . .Joshua Smith and Mikael Hopkins dominate at center without getting into foul trouble. . .Tre Campbell emerges as a legitimate point guard. . .the Hoyas don't trail at all during the game. . .Tyler Adams gets one more chance to play. . .and Butler shocks Providence to give GU the #2 seed in the Big East Conference Tournament.
And the non-issue of JT3's response, proper or otherwise, to a grand gesture by Seton Hall's coach and players is all that we can discuss? I thought we were better than this, but I'm obviously mistaken.

Not sure how that contradicts anything I've posted. It can be odd and ok for seton hall to complain about and still not be that big of a deal in the overall scheme of things - as I've now pointed out twice. You really like to nitpick my posts. Now that's odd.

I'm mentioning it because I think it's ridiculous thst anyone would criticize Georgetown for this.

Listen, the Hoyas kicked the ball out of bounds today more than once, which is what they'd do in a soccer game so I'd say they're even.

JTIII kept our best player out when he could have played. Worth more than 2 points.

Doing nice things and not expecting anything in return is exactly what makes them nice. Anything else is a transaction.
Awesome job by Willard. Steve Politi? NHOH

Do wish we'd just let them score in an obvious way on their first possession. But they did actually score on their first possession, and the defense wasn't exactly great. Just for the record.
