Feel free to use this thread for rampant speculation and updates. I will update the table as more information becomes available. Updated. Note: Addition of JMU Subtraction of OK -- they have scheduled Villanova Subtraction of MVS -- unlikely to meet then in Sun Bowl

Wow. Only 10 home games? Looks like I'll be paying for the Direct TV College Hoops package . . . . I hope some of these get on "regular" TV! What games to you guys think will be televised?

Call this a total hunch...but the one big conference missing from our schedule is the SEC. Here's to seeing Arkansas playing in the MCI next year. Who's with me?
Either that or an A-10 contender...like Xavier or GW.

25 games so far, so still 2 more slots to fill - I imagine they'll be home games....

If we have 12 home games this year and we usually have 15 or 16, shouldn't season ticket prices be reduced? Unfortunately, I doubt that will happen.

CA don't you think storming the court at the Duke games is worth the price of admission to Grambling, Penn State, and SJSU?

Is it certain that the Michigan game is on the road? It's a crazy schedule if there are only 12 home games, although with the way the RPI is getting calculated, the Hoyas are better off playing Navy and JMU on the road (not to mention Colgate).

New young alum tix went on sale last week or so and they told me that there would be 14 home games. So, I expect that is the case.

How many more games are we allowed to schedule, recognizing that we have that tournament, which only counts as one game?

CA don't you think storming the court at the Duke games is worth the price of admission to Grambling, Penn State, and SJSU? Oh, without a doubt. The addition of the Duke game was huge. I can't wait for that one, if we win that could be the most empathic "we're back" statement we could make. Still, I think we need a few more home games in the fall to really get the students into it from the get-go. If the two remaining games are at home, that makes three home games before winter break, hopefully one of them at McD. All three will probably be cupcakes. I guess that's not horrible, but it's still tough to get people excited in the fall with only three crap games to attend. We had four home games before winter break last year, so I guess it's not that much of a difference, if the remaining two are at home. And of course, excitement in the spring should not be a problem at all. Duke, 'Cuse, Cincy? Hell yeah. I'll take this schedule over last year's or the year before for sure. Our RPI should be awesome. And it sets up a hell of a home schedule for next year. Michigan and Oregon at MCI will be nice, as well as Navy, JMU, am I missing any others? With the upgrade in schedule, it's also important not to get discouraged if we drop some of these games. Away at Illinois, Michigan, and Oregon as well as a possible matchup with UTEP will all be tough. But they will be great tests, and we will be ready to rumble come Big East play, regardless of our record.

hopefully the Duke home game will be scheduled for some day after the students return to campus after the holidays. we didnt have much of a home court advantage vs. U-Con this past year because of that..

Pray for a Caps/Wizards game on the 11th. From what I've been told, the only way we can play in McD is if the MCI is being used for something else. So hopefully it's being used on Dec. 11th, b/c I want another McD game and Fairfield is the best bet.

I went to the San Jose State game last year and it was a blast. I did not make it down for the NIT game, but that looked AMAZING on television.
I am so fired up for this game (I have six family members that went to FU) that I do not care where it is played, so long as GU wins by 40+ points.
Beer is on me that day!

As far as the Caps/Wiz go, they rarely play home Sunday games if I'm not mistaken. If they do, the game would probably be an afternoon game - so this would mean a Sunday night Hoyas game, a rarity. How many Sunday night games have we played recently?
If the Hoyas game is at MCI, it will probably be an afternoon one, I would think. Wiz/Caps usually play at home on Saturday nights.

I got the email for young alum tix and it looks like we have a few more home games yet to be put on the schedule. The email says:
"This year, the Hoyas will play approximately 15 home games against teams including Syracuse, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and new conference opponents Cincinnati and South Florida. There will also be some awesome non-conference match-ups. "
I was originally told 14 games, so it looks like there are definately a few more to come.

There's gotta be something we've gotten wrong.
I think, with the Sun Bowl tourney, we can play 13 non-conference games. We have seven listed non-home games, leaving only six (and therefore 14 overall) home games.
My guess? The Michigan game isn't on the schedule. We haven't heard anything on this since about two seasons ago, right?

Because I think we can only have 2-3 more real games on the schedule.
