I generally agree, but if we don't have enough strong targets now, there is no great risk in bringing in a guy for one year, and saving the scholarship for next year when we have more time for the new staff to go after big targets. I would have zero issues with Alstork coming aboard for next season but I won't be as pumped about it as I am with the Sodom commitment or a Carter commitment.. I think coaches should live for today when it comes to recruiting.. If I had a nickel for all the posts about Gtown's big "targets" for the future or "saving" slots, Warren Buffet would be jealous of me.. A bird in the hand would be my philosophy on the recruiting trail.. Depends on what that bird is doing in your hand😁 I agree 100%. Of course you want to bring in 5 and 4 star guys. But if you are sufficiently selective in your offers, take the guys who can't wait to be Hoyas, fit them into the puzzle, and coach them up.

Whatever happened with Isaiah Whaley? If he can protect the rim and is at least 6'9" I'm interested.....I'm not saying Kante can't play but he looks to be more around 6'5" to me..... Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 2017 Team Melo & @mtzionprep big man Isaiah Whaley is on an official visit to St Louis, per source Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 UConn has offered 2017 @mtzionprep big man Isaiah Whaley, per source

Bamba is currently projected to be the #2 pick after Michael Porter in the next year NBA draft Shaka already had a monster class coming in, but with Bamba, this class is just as good as the Kentucky/Duke/Kansas

Even Sid Wilson's dad acknowledges it... Asked if Harlem native Mohamed Bamba’s commitment would impact Wilson, his father said, “That’s not really going to impact our decision because he’s only there for one year. If we was doing one year, too, that would influence our decision. Mohamed is gone, so….” www.zagsblog.com/2017/05/19/2017-wing-sid-wilson-announce-saturday/

At least not in the polished skills category...I do see the potential.....

Wow. A top 100 wing available this late. I don't know what Carter's status is - re us or 2017 - but we should be on LJ like stink on rice.

May not be, but couldn't come at a more opportune time for us. Come on Ewing and Kirby. Get in there! Get in there!

I am sure there are no coaches whispering in these kids' ears after they sign an LOI.

He enrolled early at NMSU, so I believe he would be a transfer. Also saw that it could be due to academics and he might have to go JUCO route. Would much rather take Nahziah.

Louisville was only added to his list the past few weeks and he keeps adding schools after he initially cut his list down. He seems to be a bit of a Diva throughout this process though. I'm sure PE had done his due diligence but BB doesn't seem like a fit.
