Hate to say it, but when Josh can't outmuscle his man this offense looks a lot like last year, except 1 vs. 5 insead of 2 vs. 5. Freshman are not showing up tonight.

Never had this game as an easy win in my book, was honestly surprised to see so many people who believed it would be given the 10pm start time, big home crowd, and a rotation that relies heavily on freshman. Stainbrook and Josh have essentially neutralized each other and while we have several potential offensive weapons. None of them have stepped up quite yet. I didn't see this as an easy win. The way we have played tonight is very disappointing. We have been beaten inside in this game. I did not expect that. I dunno that I agree that we've been beaten inside. Would love to see the stats. We've given up some offensive rebounds which is nothing new because we've struggled rebounding but that simple fact is they're hitting 3s and we aren't.

As I've said since the first game; this teams interior defense is it's achilles heel.

Wow, looked like a good D possession there, and the bailout foul at the end.

I think the formula is still the same -- if the freshmen start playing like they should be able to and have shown in games earlier this season, the team will be fine. If they keep playing tentative or take too long to get going, it's going to be a struggle.

GU needs to make the extra pass in the 1/2 court set. That's it.

It's all about outside shooting or the lack there of. In a big hole where do we go for 3 pt shooting?

Another year of living and dying w/every game and hoping we are on the right side of the bubble too early for that; tonight's problem is VERY fixable. I think GU does need some size behind Josh.

Nobody seems able to get a good look. I'm not sure why. Part of it is opposing defenses not having to worry about threes.

All around awful execution on offense tonight - full credit to Xavier's defense. No lack of effort, but Xavier managed to disrupt pretty much everything the
Hoyas tried to do. It became clear that there were no Hoyas capable of scoring tonight other than DSR - and that allowed Xavier to take him away.
Time to regroup and defend the home court.
