After watching Duke manhandling Wisconsin, I think this year is gonna be the race between Duke and Kentucky. Wisconsin, barring any injuries or major shake-ups, will still remain as a top 10 team. We gave them a good fight in the tournament, and if the freshmen continue to improve and be more consistent, I do think we will have a shot in being top 10 by the mid/late season. Had Peak not struggle against them, I think we woulda beat them as well... as much as I hate Duke though, they are really good this year, better than last year when they had one of the best players in the nation in Jabari.

Duke is definitely pretty good, but I think that that game could've gone either way. Duke hit a lot of contested 2pt jumpers and wisconsin missed a lot of chippies around the hoop. I don't think Duke manhandled wisconsin at all.

Baffles me how Fox Sports One thinks it's a good idea to put on the Creighton Women over the Creighton's Men's team. It's a road game. FS1 doesn't have the rights. ESPN did. Game was on ESPN3 Why was Creighton playing Tulsa on the road? McDermott needs to start scheduling like a high major program...

They've been playing each other every year since 2011. I'm assuming they had a 4 year agreement from well before they joined the Big East. Just takes time for those deals to finish so they can start ones that are more in their favor.

I like LSU, and hope that Johnny Jones succeeds. I hate to say it, though, but the two times I have watched this yr, LSU reminds me of St. John's. I hope the Tigers play over the year changes my perception. The WVU win is a good one for LSU.

and WVU losing to LSU helps us. Since LSU already lost to ODU they're unlikely to leap frog us with this win, but it bring WV down in the rankings. So far this week:
#'s 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 21, 22, 25 ( and likely 24 FLorida will lose tonight) in the coaches and #'s 8, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 24, 31 in the AP ( we're 33 and 32 Florida will likely lose @ Kansas tonight and #30 VCU likely loses to Virginia on saturday).

Elbert Robinson didn't have much of a line in the LSU West Virginia game. Zero points, zero boards. Don't know how many minutes he played.

And when was the last time an Ivy League school defeated a defending National Champion? Tonight. Yale 45, Connecticut 44 at Storrs just went final. The Elis barely shot 30% for the game, but hit a three with one second left to pull off the upset. Yale improves to 8-2, while UConn falls to 3-3 for the season.

Not good news from Chestnut Hill. Providence loses on the road to Boston College, 69-60. Henton was only 4-16 from the field for 9 points. Expected more from the Friars tonight.

Kansas just isn't that good. It's to the point where is be disappointed if we lost. The problem is that Self is pretty good about using early season as motivation. I can see him lighting a fire and getting them going.

I can see him lighting a fire and getting them going. This is the first full half of Kansas I've seen this year and, if that half is at all indicative of who they are right now, I agree. Florida is playing better than they did against us but Kansas doesn't look very good. Certainly not "11" good. I also agree about Self but that home record is pretty stunning. I tend to always think the same way about MSU.

Gators up by 15 at the half, and it could have been more than that. Sort of puts more pressure on the Hoyas to hold serve on the home court against Kansas.

On a related note, why do I find Jay Williams so irritating other than the fact that he went to Duke? He, seemingly, does his homework. Is it just the Duke thing? The fake smiling bothers me but that's not enough to merit my level of irritation.

Yeah, I could still see Kansas coming back. Florida is still only going 6-7 deep. I suppose I'd rather Kansas wins so they'd be a higher ranked team, but florida looking good also helps us, obviously.
