Jackson said he hasn't yet set his heart on any official visits and there's a good chance his decision could stretch out into his senior season.
“I don’t know about official visits, but I will probably narrow it down a little bit after AAU, and then I should probably commit before January.”

"On the recruiting trail Jackson has a whole host of schools after him. Maryland, Georgetown, Indiana, Notre Dame, Butler, Illinois, Purdue, Xavier, Alabama, Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Stanford, and many others are after Jackson....
A school that will always be linked with Jackson is Georgetown. Both of his parents were athletes at Georgetown. His father played under John Thompson for the Hoyas, and now Patrick Ewing Jr is recruiting Jackson to the school.
“It is like talking to somebody who is a brother,” said Jackson of Ewing Jr. “He is very similar to me. His dad played in the NBA and went to Georgetown just like my dad did. It is cool to kind of talk to somebody who will keep it real with you in recruiting.”
Georgetown has always tried to make everything about family, and while they are using that sell, Jackson makes it clear that they know he is going to make his own decision.
“They don’t stress that because they know my decision isn’t my dad or my mom’s, but it is something that comes in my head a little bit since I know my dad had a great four years there,” noted Jackson. “They don’t stress that, but they do mention it.”
In terms of what is next, Jackson isn’t going to rush the process, but he also doesn’t want it dragging out until next spring either. “I don’t know about official visits, but I will probably narrow it down a little bit after AAU, and then I should probably commit before January,” said Jackson.

Kids due for a major bump in the rankings might be pushing 5 stars on some... If PEJR pulled this kid that would be amazing...

The last thing I want to have to read about, and hear about for three years, is that 5 star recruit and son of former Hoya Jaren Jackson has signed with the Twerps. Pls go anywhere else but there (not sure Cuse in the mix.)

Jaren Jackson Park Tudor School It wasn’t a great high school season for Jaren Jackson, but the 6-foot-9 power forward has come out with a vengeance this spring, and that was again the case at the Spiece Run N Slam. Jackson did miss the final day with back spasms, but leading up to that point he was a stud. Jackson is shooting the ball great in pick and pop situations from three, and then also is protecting the rim with his 7-foot plus wingspan. Beyond that he is playing tougher than he ever has in his career, and everything seems to be coming together for him, and this weekend was just more evidence that he is beginning to turn the corner. Currently Jackson has offers from Michigan State, Maryland, Georgetown, Xavier, Butler, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois and others. He appears to be wide open in the recruiting process. www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1666285-spiece-top-performers

Again, he should be the top priority for 2017. He is going to be nasty in a few years. A guy that big who can shoot, move, and block shots...look out.

Ivan Rabb was supposed to be 1 and done and that didn't turn out to be the case. I think kids are starting to notice the 1 and done in the D league and are re-evaluating their options.
