Methinks he can already play...would love to have the son of former Hoyas Mr. and Mrs. Jaren Jackson, Sr. continue the family tradition and blaze his own trail with the Blue and Gray...

I'm not sure who is higher on my need list: Lykes or Jaren. They're both obviously different positions so it will depend on roster make-up.
Aw screw it, I'll take both!

Have heard he's a heavy Terps lean at this point... That would not be a tolerable result.

I think he should be the # 1 priority for 2017.

I think he should be the # 1 priority for 2017. Careful. Hoyas4Ever is gonna get you! Lol....I actually love Jaren Jackson Jr. game, physical makeup and upside. I have Lykes as 1A & JJ Jr. As 1B. The reason I have Lykes ahead of JJ Jr. in the 17 class for Georgetown to get is mostly because he can't pass the ball into himself. I think a combination of Lykes and Jackson would be ridiculously dynamic. Another reason I have Lykes ahead of JJ Jr. is I don't see him as major impact player from day 1. While unbelievably talented and blessed with tremendous upside, JJ Jr. is still extremely raw offensively as he is a year younger then his class. JJ Jr. has a lot of work to do physically to be able to battle inside with other Big's as a freshman. He will have an impact as a freshman, not just a major one and not right away where as I feel Lykes can play from day 1 in the right system and surrounding roster that Georgetown should have.

The fact that he as a Hoya legacy would even entertain UMCP is a major statement. He's not going to be a Hoya. Time to cut the cord.

The article is written by Maryland 247 beat writer so it obviously has a Maryland perspective. Here is a section regarding schools Jaren Jackson Jr. is involved with...
"Jackson's strong play over the weekend surely will draw more attention from colleges, and he should move up the rankings as well if he keeps putting up big numbers and showcasing his all-around game, but Maryland is one of the schools who have made an impression on him already. Purdue, Indiana, Michigan State, Stanford, Vanderbilt and Georgetown are others...
Another article on Jaren Jackson Jr. This one written by university of Maryland beat writer for Terapin Times on scout.com Obviously the article is tailored to it's audience so it's Twerps centric. Here is some info on PE Jr.'s visit with JJ Jr.:
"And then Patrick Ewing Jr. from Georgetown came to my gym, and when I was talking to him it was like talking to a friend. He really relates well to me, and he told me nothing will be given to me if I come to Georgetown. Going to a place where my dad went, it’s me going there, not him. So when [Ewing Jr.] said nothing would be sugarcoated and they wouldn’t let me settle, that meant something to me....
Right now I’d say Maryland, Michigan State, Alabama, Georgetown, Illinois and Stanford are the ones talking to me the most,” said Jackson, who cannot take official visits yet because he has not taken the SATs. “Those are the schools pushing for me. I mean, it could change next week, but right now those are the main ones.”
As far as a leaderboard is concerned, Jackson said he’s started to narrow things down in his mind. That said, he’s not ready to make his list public and isn’t sure when he’ll do so.
“I’m going to commit at the latest in January, I will tell you that,” Jackson said. “I’m trying to be ready for the early signing period. Right now I’m thinking about a few schools, but things could change. Like, I just got an Alabama offer and I want to check them out, so you never know what can happen.”
Jackson is coming off a three-game set in Brooklyn where he averaged 17.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. His Spiece Indy AAU squad went 2-1, and is now set to compete in Indianapolis April 22-24.

I actually love that the staff has involved PE Jr. In JJ Jr. Recruitment. No could speak more to JJ Jr. about being the son of a great alum, an a former NBA player, and what it's like to follow in their footsteps an attend the same school, The family atmosphere etc.
