are you serious? III doesn't adjust well to the actual game, he makes his plan and sticks to it, therefore, the long periods of not scoring we appear to get in the second half late in most games.

He had to adjust when we lost the 3 available players he had played at 5 vs. Butler. I bet he never planned for that situation. If so, he would have put more emphasis on Bradley's development over 18 months.

JTIII can certainly make adjustments to try to end the scoring droughts (even if it's just a timeout to regroup), but there is no getting around the fact that we only have two players who can consistently score and every opposing team's defense knows that.

Fickle? More like smart. Why pay for tickets, brave the cold weather, etc.. for that product? Build up a winner and they will come. +1 Fair weather fans

The truth is that, especially in a city like DC, you are always going to have avid, hardcore fans that will buy tickets no matter how successful you are that year; however, to be able to attract the mediumcore(?) fans to the arena you have to have a product that people will make the extra effort to go see. We have had some pretty good teams over the last few years, but this season has been a struggle, so attendance will be down. The kids are still playing their hearts out, and certainly deserve support, but that is just how it works.

It looks like when we watch the Super Bowl the HOYAS will be on a six game losing streak. No chemistry, no bigs, no swingmen and a terrible coaching staff to support III.

This, coupled with all the sock puppets suddenly reappearing - a losing streak truly is like a Hoyatalk colon cleanse.

I understand the frustrations, given prior history. I am giving JTIII the benefit of the doubt that he will make good in game adjustments against McDermott on Saturday. Now while and after viewing the game...it is deemed there were not enough adjustments made; by all means we can gripe about it.

The loss of Smith may have a silver lining for the Hoyas. Now, there is no longer a need to try to squeeze a square peg into the round holes of the Hoya style of play. No, this is not likely going to turn around the season. Yet, knowing that Moses, Hopkins and Lubick are the posts allows the team to adapt--assuming that the coach is willing--to a much quicker and more athletic style. I would insert Bowen/Trawick at the top and return to a pressure defense with one post in the back playing safety. On offense, this team should run at every opportunity and avoid falling into the halfcourt perimeter offense that only works with a strong inside presence. Lastly, I would keep rotating Cameron/Bowen/Caprio to give the two main guards some rest. Find a role for Hayes and Domingo, even if it is just to take up space for a couple of minutes to help with foul trouble.

They're kinda the same dumpster fire as us except been burning for way longer and the Post actually writes about them online so more people can gawk. #123fireballs

No one is going to feel sorry for us...
We can play well and compete with class or loss in a blow-out and get humiliated.

MEANERY UP.
Obviously it'll be a really tough game against a quality opponent new to the league salivating for a win over a program like ours, despite (especially?) the fact that we're down. And apparently they have an awesome fan base, which won't make it easier. If our guys want to play in mid-March, it starts tomorrow. They have to show that they can bounce back. If not . . .
and to Coach: ADJUST.

I expect a very credible effort by the available players. Unfortunately I also expect it will not be nearly enough to beat Creighton tonight.
There is a talent gap which will not be breached.
