Alas Principe is going to Stanford. Georgetown was his 2nd choice. One Hoya coach beating out another.

At least were still competitive for the top guys. It will be interesting to see how the recruiting goes under the new staff. We've had a lot of staff turnover and the recruiting has stayed at a top level, but one never knows. The women need to restock for the first time in a long time with elite distance talent.

Newest recruit is Ty Browlow from Liverpool, NY. It seems as if he is a XC specialist with a 15:27.5 mark for a 5K course.

Shannon Meisburger, a hurdler from Lenox (MA) High School has committed to Georgetown. She is from the same HS as Scott Carpenter. She will be one of the few female hurdles that we have recruited recently. London Finley was the last really successful hurdler for the Hoyas.

The 800 men's recruit from canada looks seriously elite--looks like NCAA champ contender potential--women seem to be trying to have a more well rounded team, though not sure that they are getting good enough milers-5k types to give themselves a shot at podium finishes at ncaa dmr, Penn, XC-. Women's recruits this year basically 400/800 and sprinters. Maybe we have some transfers coming in for the mile +

Our men's 4x800m relay should be awesome next year if all goes well and nobody is hurt or redshirting with Joe White (junior this year), Spenser Brown, and recruits Ruach and Rey Rivera (who coach Bonsey said should be as good or better than Joe; statement made before Joe has been having a breakout year).

Seems like the women's program is heading in a new direction--we've had some success(couple of NCAA finalists) in the recent past with women's hurdlers/multi, though we had both an elite hurdler/multi coach coach and high elite recruits at the time. It will be fun to see the team competitive in more events: hopefully we can also maintain ours status as an elite mid distance + XC program.

Just what the doctor ordered. Women needed an elite cross country recruit and it looks like they got one.
