I'll be at work in DC Friday afternoon, where I don't get TruTV. Will the game locally be on another network? Or, will I be able to watch the telecast on the Internet - if so, how? CBS and the NCAA usually have online feeds of all the games, so you should be able to access it that way. Unlike many here, I am optimistic about the game. Belmont is not a walk in the park, but our team is better and we should win. If our guys show up, play good defense, and the offense is mediocre to good, we should be able to win this one.

This has to be the most joyless fanbase of a three seed in the history of the tournament. If you can't enjoy this week, what's the point of being a fan? If the Hoyas lose, there will be plenty of time to whine/complain/etc. Until then... I totally agree, it is like the board is pre-empting the loss by expecting it. It ain't going to hurt any less if you try to anticipate it. Meanwhile, I am going to remain seated in reality-ville and realize this is a top team in the Big East playing some A-Sun team that depsite all the yapping about, has not beaten ANYBODY! We are the better team, period. Enough with the stats, they have not played anyone in 2 months! So all those stats are meaningless. What would the Hoyas stats be if we competed in the A-Sun this season? Come'on everyone grow a pair and support the team with the swagger they deserve! They have had a great year for the fans, how can we provide so little confidence in them.

As someone without admin privileges on my work computer, I'm thinking that if this is true, I'll bring my personal laptop to work.

Wilbon just picked Hoyas to make the Final Four. He would not be welcome on this thread.

B-mont's guards are tiny. I don't think we will even have to change from our 2-3 zone. Henry will stay out of foul trouble and the offense will be on auto-pilot to a blow out.

NCAA March Madness is available for download to mobile devices and for $4, you get all the games live. But you don't have to pay more than once for multiple devices and you can watch online without downloading anything. I downloaded and paid on my iPhone last night, and was able to log in online today on my work computer with no problem. Of course, I am sure there will be free options like first row sports, but I decided not to take the chance. www.ncaa.com/march-madness

I don't think you need to download anything to your computer but you do need to pay to get access to any games that are not airing on CBS. If you want access on your phone or iPad, you need to download the app.

Hey - I know I contributed some of the negativity here with my post re: 3pt%, but for what it's worth, I just filled out a bracket with us in the final v Kentucky. And while it will take some breaks, it's not just a ridiculous bracket. Go hoyas!

Styles make fights.
Based on the team's performance this season, I do not think that Belmont fits the profile of a team that will make us struggle. Can they- perhaps? We have lost to physical, bruising teams that are experienced. I have not seen Belmont play. But based on what has been written on the board about them, they seem like a run-and-gun team that is well-coached and relies on take-away's for baskets.
I imagine the game playing out like our earlier match-up against American. AU had guards that scored opportunistically on jump shots, but we kept all their other players in check. We also played very efficient offense because they could not guard us at all. I wonder how AU's numbers compare to Belmont's.
There will always be a Juan Manuel Marquez for every Manny Pacquiao, a Sugar Ray for every Marvin Hagler. I think our guys will play to their seed and string together a couple of solid wins. Losing to a higher seed at that point will not be upsetting at all.
JT III, like Freddie Roach, will have a game plan ready. KO, TKO, or decision - a win is a win.

I was super-confident before Ohio and mildly optimistic before VCU. I regard my deep caution as well-earned. I think we're the favorites to come out of our little pod, but think a Sweet 16 trip is 50/50 at absolute best and anything beyond that is absolute gravy.
AU is a great 3-point shooting team (10th) and horrible on 2's (300th). Belmont is great on 2s (7th) and pretty good from 3 (30th). AU is also a horrible offensive rebounding team, while Belmont is much better. There may be stylistic similarities not obvious in the team numbers, but overall they don't seem that similar.

At this point, we're the sexy upset pick. Ooohhh, Belmont-This, Belmont-That, watch the Belmont game, they are going to shock the Hoyas. I hope our men are watching this, getting angry and preparing to get all medieval on them. We took down a Chinese Army Team. Literally! And we're afraid of Belmont?!?! Ohio and VCU aside -- this is a DIFFERENT team in a different cicumstance. They shoot 3's well, we defend 3s well. Good luck.

It's easy for the talking heads to look at the Hoyas v Belmont and scream upset special. We have done everything in our power in the last 4 years to legitimize that thinking - Davidson, Ohio, VCU. But that was then and this is now. These guys are a different group and have great chemistry, something their predecessors may have lacked. This is the last hurrah for Jason, Henry and probably Hollis, and I can't see them overlooking or underestimating Belmont or anyone else. With our defense we take away their strength, the 3 pointer. Go Hoyas!

Be sure to read Feinstein's Midwest preview in the Post..... Why? I mean seriously, for the love of God....why? Why would any right-minded individual want to subject themselves to that?

The ESPN gabbers all picked Belmont last year too and they were smoked by Wisconsin.

Reasons to like our chances whether we are playing Belmont or Kansas or Kentucky
Unlike last couple of years we do not depend on 3s for the O to succeed Unlike last couple of years we play serious defense Unlike last couple of years, we seriously rebound We have 3 key players-Otto, Henry and Whit playing their best ball in March We have the last couple of years early exits as motivation This is a VERY DIFFERENT TEAM well built for March

It is also time for Jason and Hollis to step up, after two subpar games in the BET. I think they will!

My concern: Will John Henson's wrist be healed or not. Ok, Ok, I'm kidding. I'm not overlooking anyone. But I think this team has a lot going for it and could surprise to the Elite Eight/Final Four type level. Why? 1) Henry is beasting it. 2) Otto is playing like a BE ROY right now. 3) Defense. Defense. Defense. We are good as long as we don't let down Seton Hall style (which is the only instance I can think of this year of that big an effort deficit, so I'm not that worried). 4) We have enough outside shooting and are streaky enough to really get going - Jason, Hollis, even Starks and Greg can catch fire out there. 5) Zone, trap, and pressure defenses. New wrinkles this year (at least in the amount we use them) that give us versatility to change up on an opponent. 6) Cohesiveness and fight. Don't forget the China trip and its effect on this team. They don't give up. 7) Proving Something. JTIII and the Jason, Henry, Hollis have something to prove after the last couple NCAAs. I think they do it. 8) Matchups. We can beat these teams. Add it all up and this year has a similarity to that Final Four year of '07. I'm expecting a Sweet 16 at least this year, with a solid chance of an Elite Eight and a possible upset special for the Final Four. Why not?! VCU and Butler made it last year after all. And it's far more fun to expect the best. Have faith Hoyas! Hoya freaking paranoia!
