In no surprise, Seth Davis picks Belmont in the upset.

Seth Davis is the worst. Greg Anthony thinks Georgetown is not a traditional power, apparently.

Love it. Belmont is Pomeroy tiger. They play against no good defenses in the A-Sun so they just overwhelm those teams.
Bury them.

Just judging off of numbers and box scores, they seem to be a team that plays "fast" and outscores their opponents. I'd hope that would play into our favor but you can never be sure.

WOW! what a first round gift.... Watched some Belmonts games this season. This is not a very good team. Not near as good as the team the Hoyas defeated last time. Looking forward for another North Carolina vs Georgetown match. Go Hoyas!!!

Figures we'd get the 23rd overall team in Kenpom. 11th most efficient offense. Really hope that our defense actually is as good as we say it is.

Belmont is a very good team...well coached, disciplined...anything less than our A game will likely get us bounced....this team is better than Ohio....not as good as VCU...but another very tough test

Seth Davis is so predictable and has to be the biggest dink out there...well there is Doug Gottlieb who will also surely pick Belmont

Also, I hate Seth Davis. He should go say something nice about Fab Melo and Bernie Fine.

I'm scared of Belmont, but after the past few years, I'd be scared of anyone.

While I don't expect us to get past our first round opponent, our hypothetical path to the final four is eerily similar to our 2007 path. Belmont, a ACC team, a team we already played in November this season, and North Carolina. Weird.

I'm scared of Belmont, but after the past few years, I'd be scared of anyone. RT. There is real pressure on us to win a game or two, especially III. If we can beat Belmont, I like the matchup Sunday of either NC State or San Diego St.

I think because we are a much, much, better defensive team we won't let a team like this run all over us. We are also much bigger and longer than they are at pretty much all positions. Seems like they have two guys that take a lot of 3s but they're 5'11 and 6'3 so put Jabril or Greg or even Jason on them and make them shoot over that length.

Pomeroy likes Belmont's overall body of work, but it's all built on beating up lesser competition. They've been clearly outplayed in games against KenPom Top 100 teams. Hoyas haven't been great themselves, but I'm not too worried. Then again, the past.

Good news - at the very least, you can enjoy the first day of the tournament before deciding sports are stupid.
