I would not take Lunardi's current bracket (3/11). Right now has us in the first round midwest cluster in Pittsburgh with Davidson and Temple/VCU (are you sure you don't want to throw in Ohio while you're at it?). I think the only thing we can hope for today is to magically end up in the East or South

Can we trade with Michigan? That East bracket with Cuse/Duke and Memphis is right where I want to be.

SI's bracket has us in a pretty brutal spot: 4 seed playing in Portland. The 1 seed is Kansas, which isn't bad, but the 2 is Michigan St which in my opinion would be the toughest 2. Then, there's the icing on the cake with Marquette being the 3 seed. Honestly, if we are a 4, who cares who the 2/3 seeds are. If we meet them, I'll be happy. hm

Apparently, the first three teams selected from each conference are placed in different regions (per Wikipedia -- take it for what its worth), so the question is whether Louisville is higher than us? I'd take a 3-4 seed in Cuse's region in a heartbeat.

I am prepared for a #4 or #5 seed, but the reality is the NCAA loves rematches from previous tournaments so I could easily see us paired with Davidson or Ohio. VCU will be too highly seeded, thank goodness. I also see us handling Davidson, but do not know enough about Ohio. The Hoyas bring a defense and length, especially on the perimeter, they have not had in the last 3 seasons. I really think the Hoyas can handle a team that relies on jumpshooting and 3s like Davidson. We run into trouble with a physical, defensive team that can ruin our offensive flow and score in the paint. Agreed. The Hoyas play defense. We won't lose to the same ball screen 49 times in a row like we did against Ohio a few years ago. I want Belmont. Kenpom ranking aside, they haven't played a good team in 3 months and let's kick this off like 2007. Belmont in Nashville is the nightmare scenario.

Agree, Euro, it's things like that that worry me more. In all honesty, I would take Kentucky in the sweet 16 over Belmont in Nashville, Davidson in NC, Ohio in Pittsburgh. If we aren't allowed to play our style because of an upset minded site and officiating, it will be scary. Kentucky in the sweet 16 at least means we got there.

Gotta say, I think Florida State leapfrogs us for the last 3 seed if they hold on here. They will have beat Duke & UNC twice.

Watching this game, I've been extremely impressed by FSU. They are tough, confident, deep, and balanced. It would be great to see them hold off UNC after already beating Duke. Love to see both UNC and Duke lose to the same team twice each in a season.

Florida State win makes a 3 seed very unlikely. Hope we don't get sent to Portland.

West has been kind to us.
How anyone can worry about a sweet sixteen matchup baffles me.

West has been kind to us. How anyone can worry about a sweet sixteen matchup baffles me. This 100%. After the last two disasters, if we somehow get to the second weekend I'll be doing cartwheels.

I agree. We have to get there first and if we do get there i won't care who we are playing since we actually got there. If that makes any sense.

Coaches Poll # 1,2,3,4,6,9 and 10 lost while 7 and 8 are still battling it out. My guess Missouri takes Kansas' one seed but the other seeds are not significanly changed due to tourney play.
