So far so good on the defensive end. We need to take our time and knock down those wide open Js. We are getting very good looks.....

Well, Lubick starting hasn't been a problem. Just need the shooters to settle their nerves.

That's exactly what I want to see, hard fouls, let them earn it.

Interesting article by Luke Winn on si.com analyzing the Cuse zone (which I can't link, probably because I don't know what I'm doing). He used a mechanism that has been in place since 2003 to do the analysis, and concluded that this is the best Syracuse defense of that period. Keys to the defense are Melo (who is great at flopping, errrr, drawing charges) and Waiters, who is far superior defensively to either Scoop or Triche. As pointed out above, they are great at forcing turnovers, and we are often great at committing turnovers. Hopefully can avoid that tonight. I think the year that they had Wes Johnson was the best defensive team that SU had of resent times. It was very hard to get a perimeter shot off against Triche, Rautins, and Johnson........

We aren't gonna win this game shooting like we are now. We need our guards to get it together............

We aren't gonna win this game shooting like we are now. We need our guards to get it together............ While I'd usually agree with you, so far in this game our defense will keep us in it and we are getting such open looks we will eventually make enough!
