8 minutes ago - by Patrick Southern - F Kilicli on C Sims: 'Eh' Mountaineers freshman F Deniz Kilicli didn’t share his coach’s strong assessment of Hoyas C Henry Sims. “What do I think about him? Eh, he’s alright,” Kilicli said. “He’s not [Greg] Monroe or like a big-time big man. You know what I mean? But he does his job well.” Oh it is on. Did a double-take on that one... Kilicli is a junior.

Kilcili's statement just emphasizes the lack of class West Virginia brings to the court and the different type of program we have at Georgetown. Can you imagine what would happen if anybody on the Hoyas' roster said something like that? I am guessing Thompson III wouldn't stand for it.

I don't think the dorms open till noon on the 10th. So a kid can't stay on campus and study or research even if he wants to? That's absolutely nuts. I'm starting to think they should just close the damn school during the basketball season so no students will ever come to any games. I also think I should get a teaching job at GU so I won't have to work, like, half the year or more. I don't know all the issues, but as soon as you allow any students to enter the dorm, you immediately have to take a number of other actions-- i.e., kick up the heat, bring in security (both on campus in general and inside the dorm), start facilities people cleaning up/emptying the trash, etc. and it gets expensive quickly. Right now, the heat is turned down in the dorms (they give all the chaplains space heaters to keep the rooms warm). I know athletics tried to find ways to make it work for students who want to come back for the game, but not sure if they had any success.

There's a reason we don't let our freshmen talk to the media in the fall semester. Hoya Paranoia can be a good training tool.

I hope Henry makes him look absolutely foolish tomorrow. Crossing my fingers for a thunderous dunk followed by a stare-down.

They opened them early for the 'Nova Big Monday hard hat game in '07 (one of Scottie's two(?) wins against the Hoyas), but not for the ND game the Saturday before. Living in a (conspicuously large) townhouse at the time, and having a roommate in the pep band, we had about fifteen people crashing at my place before the ND game before they could get into their own places.
If I were a student with housing that didn't require GoCard entry, I'd be back for this game (my sister, CAS '12, will be). But obviously a lot of students don't fall into that group. I don't fault anyone for not coming back in time for the game, but I seriously doubt the "national championship" game will be much of a factor. [elite east coast elitist] I don't think very many GU students care much about Alabama or LSU playing their SEC West divisional rematch. [/elite east coast elitist] Certainly, those that would be on campus early would not pass up on the Hoya game. But whoever the people who have been showing up for the Memphis/Marquette games are, I hope they're there.
PS. CWS, just noticed the signature, and I like it.

Out of curiosity, when there is a blackout on ESPN3, is it regional? For example, is the blackout only for areas with MASN/SNY, or is it nationwide?

WVU is a 3 point betting favorite and every "simulation" Ive seen has them winning so hopefully the wheels don't fall off here if we lose. That being said after the other night who can doubt this team.

Is this game not on tv nationwide? Can't find it listed and SNY says "content not available".. I'm hoping I can find it.

Did MASN just say we haven't beaten WV in 5 years? Also, a little less Fritz Brogan, please.
