All the best to Jeff, good luck, be strong and, yeah, if you get a chance to spend a little extra time around the Hilltop that would be cool for everyone too, but really all that matters is get well.

Things seem to happen for a reason. Had the lockout not have happened, maybe Jeff would have passed the physical back in Sept. and would have been playing all along with a different outcome. So, it is great that this was caught early enough. We will be rooting and praying for you, Jeff!!!

Hoping for a speedy recovery by the only hoya I've ever met personally. Jeff is a great guy and an important part of the program. I'm sure he's getting the best treatment possible.

ESPN better get a new medical correspondent because this description of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is completely wrong:
"Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is the most frequent reason for which we see young athletes go down and, occasionally, die on the court," Kaplan said. "That's a condition that is post-viral, where the person has a virus and the heart wall muscles are affected by it due to a thickening. It's a different situation than (what Green is facing)."

True, that's a conflagration of 2 different diagnoses: hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and post-viral myocarditis, neither of which Green apparently has.

Cleveland Clinic has to be one of the best heart clinics in the nation. I hope they take good care of Jeff.

It's certainly unfortunate about his contract and his lost season but, in the scheme of things, they're a small price to pay. I'm very thankful that the Celts were so thorough and caught this in time. Best wishes to Jeff for a successful surgery and I can't wait to him back in action next season.
