DaJuan Summers, getting the start for the Hornets tonight! He scored their first 5 points. They might be looking to get a little more scoring pop into the starting line-up with Eric Gordon injured.

Good to see DaJuan in the starting lineup. Good to see him score in double figures in an efficient shooting manner. Bad to see that he still doesn't like to rebound.
Some guy posted on the web that Greg was the fifth youngest player in 25 years to put up a 32/16 performance. The guys who did it at a "younger stage" were LeBron, Shaq, Amare Stodemire and Chris Webber. Supposedly Joe Johnson is in the mix too so he was either tied with one of the four other guys or at the same age as Greg when he performed the feat.

I watched a little of the Hornets game and Summers played hard. The fouls I saw were on help defense and rebounding where he was just a half step too late to make the play. He was pumped up when the Hornets tied the game with 2 minutes left but then he fouled out on the next defensive possession.

Bad to see that he still doesn't like to rebound. Because one game is clearly enough of a sample size to make such a judgment. I just think it's awesome he a got a start after wondering if he'd make it back to the league.

Bad to see that he still doesn't like to rebound. Because one game is clearly enough of a sample size to make such a judgment. It is until proven otherwise. He had the same issue when he got on the court for Detroit. He had the same issue at Georgetown. When he proves the doubters wrong by going out there and grabbing boards in a way a physical specimen like himself should do, I will happily admit it.

Dennis Rodman once scored 32 points in a game?? I would have thought he would have been more likely to have 16 points and 32 rebounds.

Harder to comprehend that Wilt Chamberlain averaged better than 32 and 16 during eight seasons, and averaged Better than 30 and 22 for his career. Imagine what he could have done if he could have shot better than 50 percent on free throws.
Off g'town topic I know, but every once in a while it is nice to recall Wilt

I was listening to the second half of the game that Wilt scored 100 points against the Knicks. It was played in Hershey Penn. I believe Wilt was 32 for 36 from the line that night. Back then earlier in his career, he used the underhand flip method. Nobody dominated the game like Wilt.

Greg in the process of having another great night against Golden State. Has 23 and 7 ate in the 3rd quarter.
I wonder if Golden State regrets selecting Udoh over Greg in the draft.......

Quote by "expert" Chad Ford on ESPN on June 22, 2010 at 9:18 pm: "Monroe is a reach. It is unfathamable that he will be a good pro." What BS. And they call this idiot an expert on the NBA Draft.

Great quote: “Absolutely, I have something to prove,” Summers said. “But our team concepts is more important than my personal agenda. But every chance I get, I’m going to show people why they shouldn’t have passed up on me or what they’ve missed on because I can play the game."
