Yep, it was a three. Not only did I think it was a 2, but I thought only two points were added to the Hornets' total, so I was wrong all the way around. Way to extend that range, Jr.! ;D

Hope PE Jr.'s one minute yesterday was not his finale in NBA.

Can't believe no one has commented on Jeff's play at the end of the game today. I only saw the last 5 minutes, so perhaps it was lacking before that, but he looked pretty darn good the last 5 minutes, and was actually the catalyst that gave the Celts a glimmer of hope. A strong dunk and one (I'm ignoring the miss of the and one...) and a great pass for a lay in. Good aggressive play.

He didn't play well in the first half which was all I was able to see. Glad he turned it around.

That dunk was incredible. You could see he was a little frustrated and that it felt good to slam one down over Lebron. I think he felt a sense of urgency when Pierce got ejected and thought that maybe he could step up and pull some of the weight scoring. That being said, its tough to be too aggressive when you have Ray Allen absolutely shooting the lights out. The Celtics played about as poorly as possible overall today, and still managed to keep making it interesting. I think its gonna be an incredible series, with the Celtics ultimately sending Lebron packing again. (unless the incredibly trustworthy, reliable, not-corrupt-at-all nba officials have anything to say about it)....I guess you could say I'm a Celtics fan

As a Lakers fan, I hope you are right. We want to face a real rival in the finals.

As a Lakers fan, I hope you are right. We want to face a real rival in the finals. Better worry about getting Game 2 or it's over for Lakers. They aren't good enough to rest Kobe Bryant when he's on a tear like he was at end of 3rd and it cost them game tonight.

They aren't good enough to rest Kobe Bryant when he's on a tear like he was at end of 3rd and it cost them game tonight. Agree entirely. I thought we lost the game when Phil waited til the 6 minute mark in the 4th to bring Kobe back, even though we were still up at that point. Bring him in at the 9 minute mark and it could have been a larger lead before Dallas goes on their charge. Also have to give credit to Kidd for his crazy mad-dogging defense on Kobe in the final 2 minutes -- he was more hands-on than a TSA frisking but it clearly disrupted Kobe and the Lakers set plays. Phil is underrated for his ability to adapt mid-series (overrated on his head games, but I love them anyway) and I think (hope?) he can come up with something for guarding Dirk, like he did for CP3 in the first round after he torched them early in the series. I'm expecting to see Ron-Ron get in Dirk's backpocket and beat him up a little -- the only thing I've seen be even a little effective against him. Dirk's fadeaway jumpers are unstoppable at his height. Crazy. Still like our chances, though. The rest of the playoffs are setting up too nicely for them not to realize the opportunity at their doorstep. In Phil we trust.

Jeff played much more aggressive on offense and is a complete liability on defense--but so are his teammates right now--nobody on this team is playing playoff level defense and it's going to be a short stay if they don't. Since trade--Celtics have had 3 big games against Heat--and haven't been within 10 pts in any of them--losses added up to losing homecourt advantage (something they said is important before year/all year) and now being blown out in 2 road games. So a near 50 pt margin in 3 losses isn't inspiring any momentum--but never fear---Shaq is due to play in Game 3. Sure he is--maybe he'll at least dump one of James/Wade on their ass--but doubt it--he'll pull a triple chin on his way jogging back if he doesn't tear a hamstring taking off his warmups.

RDF, we were within 10 points in game 1 (99-90), but other than that I agree with you completely. The Celtics are playing awful basketball right now. Really doesn't get any worse than today's game. With that said, the Heat are incapable of delivering the knockout blow, and I think that bodes well if the Celtics play even just a little bit better in Boston.

The problem with the Celtics is not Jeff Green. Rondo has been awful, and outside of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett in game 1, so have the rest of the Celtics starters. They are on their way to getting swept if they keep playing like this.

In my mind the celtics especially the starters have been playing about as poorly as they could possibly play and are still not that far off from winning those two games. I'm hoping going back home will turn things around.

I'm hoping going back home will turn things around. This is not what I hope, but it is what I expect to happen. I look for the Celtics to play much better at home - it's the Celtic way. Defense is a real problem, though. They won the title in 2008 and made their run last year based on their defense. So I say thanks, Danny Ainge!

I've been saying Heat over Thunder in 7 ever since the Perkins/Green trade...

Barea is turning out to be a game changer for the Mavs. No Laker can guard him... and I'm not counting Dirty Artest's punch-slap to the face.
