Remember, Carolina was the best rebounding team in the country last year (3rd the year before), and is returning everyone from plus 5* power forward James McAdoo...so it would have been difficult on the boards no matter what. The positive though, is that going against a team like this before the season starts will help them recognize their weaknesses in preparation for a difficult early season tournament.

And if a kid can honestly assess what he and team need to work on? That's awesome!! He wasn't crowing about this or that, he tweeted about what needs to be improved -- I like THAT too! The main positive to take from the scrimmage is this: no matter what, at least we didn't lose to Lemoyne.

Glad that our first game (scrimmage) stateside came against one of the Elite. Our boys are going into the season with confidence and thats perfect! The major advantages for an older team are experience and confidence, awesome that we have it already going into the season with such a young/energetic team!!
Plus great to see that both Hopkins and Jabril realize there is ALWAYS room for improvement and weaknesses to be worked on. The members of this Freshman class each bring a lot to the table and I am excited to see them together, both on the court and in their demeanor. I hope that JTIII does lift the freshman media silence sooner, rather then later!
PS I may be stretching, but I can't help but thinking that Kendall's tweet about friends could be a result from seeing old DC friends or the chemistry our F-F have already.
Time to start shaking off that snow and get ready for another incredible season of Hoya basketball!! NO ONE knows where this team will go, or what their limits are, but thats why we all love college basketball!

according to the UNC site here is some other things Hoya players had to say about the game. Preseumably on facebook:
#TylerAdams we lost by 7.
#HollisThompson we got destroyed in the extra half.
#GregWhittington Henson Strickland Zeller were good.
#NateLubick Barnes Marshall were not impressive.
#JasonClark Maybe Marshall shoulda went out last night.
