Half summary for those who can't watch: 1) Austin shooting well. Julian looking very good with his touches in the post. 2) Our guards not staying in front of them on D. 3) Pretty quick half--not too many fouls either way. 4) Some dumb turnovers against their press--our guards should be better against this. 5) O-rebounding percentage is going to be high for both teams. Agreed. It looks like Julian has gotten some coaching as far as making quicker moves in the post. He too often catches the ball and waits for a few seconds before trying to back down his man. This usually leads to getting blocked or getting stuck with the ball since he's an undersized center who doesnt jump out of the building and doesnt have many post moves. Theyve clearly been working with him to make a move to the basket immediately after catching the ball so the defender doesnt have a chance to set up. |

That was a sad end of a half...especially with an on FIRE Austin Freeman. Get the ball into CW and back to a streaking CW on the other end. It takes 2.5 seconds for these guys to sprint the full court w/ no defenders, Austin could at least make it to halfcourt and if he is gonna make that, it would be right now!
Maybe JTIII didn't want to give away his last second shot at halftime?

Moses should get Benimon's defensive sub minutes. I know they don't play the same position but I want to see that bigger shot blocking line up when we need a defensive sub. There will be opportunities tonight when Pope and/or Hazell are out of the game when we could get Moses in there to block some of Theodore's drives. I want to see what Moses can do. Sometimes I wonder if Nate could ever play the 3 so that next year we could have Nate/Henry/Moses line up.

Really Coach? No plan to run with 2.5 seconds??? Maybe its time to start practicing so the next time we are down at the end of the game with 2.5 seconds we get a decent shot off for once...

The Hoyas would have lost at Nova the year of the FF if Sapp hadn't had hit a shot from 75 feet right before the half. They needed those points.
I've never seen a team end the half like that but nothing this team does really surprises me.
There is no flow to their game.
