Henry should probably refrain from the 18' jumpers too you know.

He hit one 15 footer against Mizzou where he flashed to the elbow and shot with no hesitation. Pretty impressive. But I agree that he shouldn't be taking those shots with more than 20 seconds on the shot clock. We can get a higher percentage look. Nice that he can hit it - I feel better about that shot than, say, Nate Lubicks's corner three that missed the rim by 3 feet.

Love the kid. It puts a smile on my face every time he makes a solid play and there's been a lot of smiling. Keep it up Big Henry!

Hankamaniacs. That is classic. Very good Ambassador. I love it. It's like the second coming of Church's Choir.

We need nWo Hank against SU. He can come out to Voodoo Child and tag Boeheim Court.

Henry has been amazing---very proud of him and good confidence today. He's playing on instinct and not thinking--and just balling on both ends of the court. Great job Hank! The Power of Kusef is running wild within Hank and leading us all to be Hankamaniacs!!!

Henry should probably refrain from the 18' jumpers too you know. I hate it when TV commentators make this type of remark everytime a big man takes a jumpshot and misses. A miss does not mean he isn't capable of hitting that shot. And in this offense people are encouraged to take such shots if they are open.

Henry has been a pleasant surprise so far since he is now playing the 5 position exclusively. His improved play has not gone unnoticed by the opposition either. Look for Temple's big men to go after him on offense to try to get fouls on him. So far the Hoyas have not been doubling down on offensive center on defense like they did last year to protect Monroe. I think they will have to do some of that to protect Henry because he now has a habit of leaving his feet too early on defense and fouling the player with his body.

Henry has played really well - I think as the OOC winds down a key for the rest of the season is going to be JT III giving more mins to his most successful lineups. Obviously, the backcourt knows what it is doing - but what is the defensive unit? what is the offensive unit? and more importantly what about the front court.
henry has played really well. in spurts he has looked great. i feel we should give some more minutes to the 5 or 6 guys that are going to be playing a lot in crunch time this year. if it is the 5 that played in OT of the mizzou game ok. if it is another fine.
i think one thing we should learn from the temple game is there will be times this year when we need a 'go to 5'. JT III kept experimenting with the front court lineup in that game because nothing was working. we need to find what works. ideally on both O and D - but if it needs to be a subing pattern - that is fine too.
getting mins for everyone is great - and i agree with the strategy - i'm just saying we need to know what our go to 5 are at the end of OOC. that is the whole point of getting everyone mins early on.

Henry is playing great--even his "off" game was superior to anything in his previous 2 years in terms of awareness/contribution--had that nice soft jumper, took ball strong on break and got fouled, and had some decent contributions. An underrated part of Hank's game has been his defensive reads when he's roaming in the back of defense and he'll step up and get a steal or create a turnover--but not at risk of giving up easy hoop--he's been rotating back to challenge shots/get a tough rebound.
Disagree with joey--this team's best defense is full court pressure--or 3/4 court pressing--so to do this and be effective--a lot of guys have to play--and have earned time to play--who doesn't play out of Henry, Vee, Nate, Markel, and Benimon? Those guys have all contributed and will be counted upon. Moses could be--depending on how he plays the next 3 games--but he can block shots/board and provides 5 fouls in frontcourt and a physical presence that Vaughn lacks--if you go up against Moses like they do Vaughn--outcome is going to be quite different. More physical/tougher player--and Vaughn has been so much better then his Soph season--but still too many hesitant/timid/passive plays from a big kid.
Henry, Moses, and Nate are type of attitude players I think team can thrive off--and maybe it energizes the other guys-but I do know that if III doesn't utilize a pressing defense--which is his team's best defense/gets most response from players--he's going to have same problems as last year--breakdowns in halfcourt defense and easy shots for opponents that cost a talented/entertaining team losses.
