The biggest difference is that he's playing like a true post center in JT III's offensive system. He was playing on the wing his first two years. Now he's accepting the entry bounce pass, posting his man, and making good decisions with the ball. 5 assists today. Amazing development from Sims! I'm shocked. I'm more shocked that JT3 didn't give him a shot at backing up JV last year. He wasn't ready last year....he seems much more prepared to take on an important role now.

Bravo Henry. Looking dangerous out there on both ends. Didn't realize he was this athletic - teams actually have to respect his dribble on the high post, which leads to good things. That is the biggest difference that I have seen - once he gets the ball, instead of standing still and passing it, he has been driving a few steps towards the basket, which just keeps the offense flowing.

He was also very good on the boarda and got the ball out to the guards really quickly too.
I don't think we were counting on significant contributions from Henry this year, but that could be changing. Hope he keeps this up!

Henry wasn't ready to play the "4" last year(probably still can't play well there this year) however he may have been able to make positive contributions at the 5 last season. I just don't see it as just "hard work" or "preparation" because we have no idea how well the kid prepares or how hard he works(I assume he does well at both and always has). Playing the 5 has had a huge part in Henry's play this year and maybe he could have made a similar leap last year if given the chance.

So much confidence with the ball!! Only complaint is that he drove to the same spot on the ft line several times and picked up his dribble. He was pretty predictable with his high post moves and that could be problem in the future, but great game Henry!!

IMO the Henry passes looked more like Jeff than Greg tonight. Still, nitpicky thing to say. HENRY WAS MEANERY UP. I actually got to tell Henry last night that his game reminded me of Jeff. He gave a shy laugh but clearly appreciated the compliment

He was pretty predictable with his high post moves and that could be problem in the future, but great game Henry!! That's how it's drawn up. He looked mechanical doing that. Baby steps! I'm glad he's being careful with the ball. As he gets more comfortable and confident, it will look more natural. Once he adds a drive to the basket or a reliable shot from there, then he'll really have everyone guessing.

I view it as if the Hoyas picked up a last minute recruit for this season from the JUCO ranks. There was virtually no expectation that Henry could contribute this much this soon. If JT III will just stick with him throught the ups and downs we could really have something by the time the tall timber arrives in the Big East.

The main thing holding Henry back last season was reaction speed -- he was often late on cuts and when he got the ball, he always waited a second too long before deciding whether to shoot, dribble or pass, often leading to turnovers. It appears that he's figured out the timing, and things are really starting to click.
It's also possible that the devastating array of perimeter players we have gives Henry a little more space/freedom, allowing a tick of extra time to make those decisions this year, before a double team can collapse.
Probably a combination of the two.

He gave a shy laugh but clearly appreciated the compliment I am glad to hear you got to do that SFO. These guys are kids. And this kid has had two years of disappointments. I have to believe that hearing compliments from Fans means much more than we realize. Also, I just saw some highlights from last night, including two, instantaneous and long outlets from Henry after grabbing a board. The first was a 3/4 length pass to Freeman out in front on the break for a Layup. The second was a half court pass to Chris, same result. THAT is what we need from our bigs. They don't have to be fast up and down the court, but they have to be fast -- and aware -- with the outlet. They have to know ahead of time what the guards will be doing -- takes PRACTICE! and AWARENESS! and COACHING! Tremendous game Henry! Keep up the EXCELLENT work! You looked like a GEORGETOWN BIG MAN out there last night! Who said "Big Man U" is over!?!?!

He looked soo good last night. positioned well on defense, grabbing rebounds with autority, and managing the high post with precision.
i don't know if i was happier the team was doing well, or that henry was playing well. He has had a lot of disappointments the first 2 years - i hope we fans will react with high praise when we see his game on display nov 27th.

Had Henry played 35 minutes, he was on pace to get a triple-double.

Kusef is Henry's stuffed animal that the guys on team "hid" from him this past Summer. Henry is embracing his BIG MAN role--and Henry as a big man is a player--and what I like--his jumpshots have been good shots--he's got to keep taking those--they are 15 footers and good looking shots too. Confidence is a wonderful thing and Henry keeps doing what he's doing--those shots will start to fall as season progresses.

I have been a big basher of Hank Sims, but I have to say that this season he has really impressed me. He looks like he has grasped the offense and looks so much more comfortable in the flow.
Congrats Hank for doing the work and getting better!

So happy that Henry has stepped his play up. Always rooted hard for the guy, and he seemed like such a great teammate. I loving seeing those assist numbers up and if he can develop a goto move or 2 in the paint, watch out.
This team is just fun to watch, there is something to be said for having a lot of upperclassman on the roster.

RDF, couldn't agree more about his J this year. He missed his 18 footer last night, but he took it thinking it would go in. The past two years, you could see him just chucking the ball at the rim without a real belief in his shot. I remember people talking about how he was a good shooter coming out of HS. I have a suspicion that if he keeps playing this well on the glass and on D, he's going to start taking and making those midrange Js.
