This is Henry's new "swag" in the form of dance:

Time to stop being surprised by his performances and start expecting more of the same. III expressed a similar sentiment earlier in the season. My man, regularman. Maybe so, but I can't think of another Hoya which has gone from bust to solid contributor in just a season. For his first two years, Henry had no business being on the floor and now he looks like a seasoned upperclassman. Henry is the story of the year so far for the Hoyas.

There's been a ton - esp. bigs. Ya-Ya, Victor Shomnick, to name a couple. Boubacar was on the floor, but he developed an offensive game in one season.
Henry's improvement has been significant, but it happens enough in college basketball.

Lic, It's tryptophan that is blamed for making you sleepy after eating turkey (although it's probably just all the carbs with the meal). But whatever Henry had for Thanksgiving, he just need to keep eating it !

But whatever Henry had for Thanksgiving, he just need to keep eating it ! Tryptophan is converted to serotonin which is converted to melatonin. Melatonin is the compound that makes you sleepy. Lic is a doctor haha he knows whats up

Just watching the game for the 2nd time around and noticed an incredible henry sims sequence i hadn't take note of. At the 17 minute mark of the 2nd half in a 4 point game, Clark launches a 3 that is wide right and takes a long bounce headed to the side line and going out of bounds. Out of nowhere, Hank changes direction, sprints to the side line, leaps out of bounds and makes a controlled save to Freeman. Freeman then notices wright standing all by himself at the opposite sideline, swings the ball to chris and chris' shot attempt barely grazes the front of the rim. In the 3 or 4 seconds it took for this to transpire, Henry picks himself up from making the leaping save and manages to get back to the offensive boards and snatches the miss again. He proceeds to go up strong with his left, misses....but lubick crashes the boards and tips in the miss. In one play, Henry displayed great athleticism, hustle, and smarts. Hen- ry Siiiims....clap, clap...clap, clap, clap.

Henry's improvement has been significant, but it happens enough in college basketball. the difference with henry is he's producing in a disciplined offense where's he's expected to do a lot on the floor. handling the ball on the top of the key, passing, dribbling on his defender, quick screens, etc. the last two years he could barely run up the floor. nothing against the other guys, but they pretty much sat in the post and waited for theirs. not to mention that henry is doing this on a much more talented team. i'll take henry's improvement over aw, dia, etc. all day.

It has been reported that key to Henry's recent improved play has been the support he has gotten from Hoya fans. I recall specifically during the Carolina Tournament, the fans chanting Henry, Henry, Henry! going into a timeout.
Given how hard we as fans (and I will be the first to admit this) have been on Henry his first two years, how well he is playing lately, and the fact we know it helps with his confidence. I'd like to propose as much support as possible for this young man.
I'm sure a standing O when he comes into the game would be a bit much etc. So I won't suggest anything like that. But those going to the Phone Booth today - Henry deserves our support.
Sorry for the rant.

Henry took all the criticism and improved. Now the fans should improve. He deserves props today.

Im as proud of Henry as I've been of any Hoya over the last 20 years....He was heading for Jameel Watkins or Rhese Gibson territory, but he's turned his career around and made himself into a player. There's a lot to be said for what Henry's accomplished

Jameel wasn't that bad. Jameel actually started for about a season as well.

How about we support all the players that way? (Not that supporting Henry is a bad idea, mind you).
I think the key to Henry's improvement is a lot of hard work.

Henry is playing so well that he's not just spelling Julian effectively, he's taking minutes from Julian. What a great development for this team.
The continued improvement from Julian and Hollis and the unexpected, sudden development of Sims is what has pushed this team into Top 10 territory. The guards we knew were going to be awesome. It was the front court that was the big question. Julian and Sims and Hollis have answered the bell so far. Well done - keep it up!
Love Henry's swats.
Nate - please no more 3s this season.
