Is Hollis playing the 2 next year? I know he has gone on record as saying that he wants to do that.
Clark and Hollis improving their handle before next season would be pretty nice.

That's where I'd put him and move JC to the bench, ala JS. Provided Hollis works on his handle extensively.

This is the most important non big man recruit for Gtown in a while.

Let's hope the Hoya Family gives him the vibes he needs to come to the Hilltop.

@bronxie - Otto is 6'8"...that is pretty big...(-;
But I'd have to say that Austin was a huge recruit for Georgetown, much bigger than Otto. First high profile signing for JTIII. #12 overall and McDonald's All American. Protecting D.C. area recruiting turf. Finally putting the DeMatha thing to bed (which has opened up Mikael and potentially others to us). He basically was responsible for getting Chris Wright to come. Monroe probably doesn't sign without two all-conference caliber guards in place. And, last but not least, he lived up to expectation.
Otto would have to do A LOT to surpass the impact of Freeman's arrival.

Should know a lot by end of weekend---and commend III/Kirby for doing a great job of staying on him. No matter what happens--nobody can complain about this recruitment. Good luck to Staff and hope to see Otto end up a Hoya.

Ranchero...you might be correct but I think this kid gives us what we have been missing since Reggie and the Miracles. Ultimately I think he can be a better player for Gtown than Awesome was.

what are the rules concerning fans sending a twitter message to players? Is that a violation or does the fan need to be an established rep of the university?

what are the rules concerning fans sending a twitter message to players? Is that a violation or does the fan need to be an established rep of the university? Given that Georgetown is currently on NCAA probation (the major violations penalty in baseball affects all sports), it pays particular attention to follow the following information from the compliance office: The following information is provided by the Georgetown University Office of Compliance for alumni, boosters and prospective student-athletes. It is intended as a guideline to introduce some of the rules governing NCAA athletic involvement.
WHO IS PERMITTED TO RECRUIT FOR GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY'S ATHLETIC TEAMS?
Only Georgetown University's coaches who have successfully completed the NCAA Recruiting Rules Examination on an annual basis may be involved in the recruitment process. Representatives of athletics interests (alumni and boosters) MAY NOT make any recruiting contacts. This includes letters, e-mails, text messages, telephone calls or face-to-face contact on or off campus with a prospect or the prospect's parents.
WHO IS A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE?
One becomes a prospective student-athlete if they have started classes for the ninth grade. Before the ninth grade, one becomes a prospective student-athlete, if the college provides the prospect or their relatives or friends any financial aid or other benefits that the college does not provide to prospective students generally.
WHAT ARE A FEW ALUMNI AND BOOSTERS DO'S AND DON'TS?
DO's •You may forward information about a prospective student-athlete to the appropriate coaches. •You may have contact with a prospective student-athlete regarding permissible pre-enrollment activities such as summer employment, provided the prospect has signed a National Letter of Intent and the Compliance Office is aware that you are making these contacts in regard to employment. •You may have a telephone conversation with a prospect only if the prospect initiates the call. Such a call may not be pre-arranged by an institutional staff member and you are not permitted to have a recruiting conversation, but may exhibit normal civility. You must refer any questions about athletics programs to an athletics department staff member or coach. •You may view a prospect's contest at your own initiative provided you do not contact the prospect or his/her relatives. In addition, you may not contact a prospect's coach, principal or counselor in an attempt to evaluate the prospect. •You may continue established family relationships with friends and neighbors, as long as these relationships were started prior to the prospect entering the ninth grade. Any contacts with prospects of these families are permitted as long as they are not made for recruiting purposes or encouraged by Georgetown University coaches.
DON'Ts •You may not become involved in making arrangements to receive money or financial aid of any kind for a prospect or his/her relatives. •You may not make contact with a prospect and his/her relatives while the prospect is on campus for an official or unofficial recruiting visit. •You may not transport, pay or arrange for payment of transportation costs for a prospect and his/her relatives or friends to visit campus (or elsewhere). •You may not pay or arrange for payment of summer camp registration fees for a prospect. •You may not provide or promise anything to a prospect or his/her relatives without prior approval from the Compliance Office. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT THE GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY COMPLIANCE STAFF. Mark Rountree, Associate Athletics Director for Compliance (202) 687-6573 or msr47@georgetown.edu

After watching Otto I don't see him as a 4 at all. Much more of a 3 easily moved aroound by smalleer players. has some good hops plays with a pretty good motor. a liitle lost on D but may be more a function of the zone press his team plays. needs to put on about 30lbs of muscle to be a four in the be. looks like he will develop a good outside shot pretty good form both on and off dribble. passes well excellent team player good speed. i see more of a jeff green in his game than a real down low pf.

just wondering since I saw some Missouri fan post that Tiger Nation should show Otto love (and then Otto re-tweeted it). Seems like it could be a violation technically.
