The Morris Twins are supposively going pro. I'm sure Kansas is going to make a strong push for him. They already were--so nothing matters regarding the Twins status. If that is where he wants to go--he'll go there. Sometimes we tend to make recruiting far too complicated-it's based on the thoughts of the individual and these are teenagers who change their minds repeatedly. Porter's handled his recruitment in an old fashioned way--low key, no AAU handlers/influence, and don't really think his choice will be based on who came on late/early, etc...from a Hoya perspective--the visit next weekend is their shot--and decides it for them--does he feel comfortable away from home or is he thinking about "home" entire time he's on the visit?

And it's not like Kansas is the hometown school. Lawrence is over 400 miles away from Sikeston. Missouri, Memphis, Louisville, Indiana, Arkansas, Vandy and Illinois are all closer. Kansas entering the picture might actually say that he may be willing to leave home to go to college.

Missouri appears to have just hired.....Frank Haith.. the guy who hasn't had a winning record in 7 years in the ACC.

did otto visit did he have a good time justwondering here??? I doubt it Lic. Don't all the Coaches have meetings and such at the Final Four? Just guessing. I would think it's more likely Porter visits next weekend -- the upcoming one -- April 8-10.

what can our students do this weekend to make Otto feel the love? It'd be great for Otto to see that.
I re-read ESPN's history of Otto's recruitment and we've had JT3 go out to watch a game once and an assistant go out another time. I feel like we're in good position and hope we can seal the deal this weekend!

perhaps since Otto's family is so tight-knit, we can extoll the benefits of becoming part of the Georgetown family. Interested to hear any other thoughts!

the idea may not be the best, but at least don't discourage others from throwing out ideas!

Some Mizzou sources are saying Otto will decide in the next week. Not sure if it's true because that would rule out Kansas. If he goes to play for Haith, wow. Just wow.

I wonder which players he will be staying with/hanging out with since it's obvious one or two of them are going away.
I mean there isn't a scholarship for Otto otherwise. It's not so much speculation as it is simple math.

kghoya, that's the part that gets me with all of this. I know we discourage speculation and I agree with that thought pattern in general, just because it doesn't do any good. But it does seem that some player movement has to be happening to still be recruiting Otto this much. Also curious about how this affects us in next year's recruiting when we supposedly will have only 1 open schollie and we already have that taken. Not knowing the kid at all, my question to the board is whether Otto is good enough to justify taking 5 guys this year and only 1 next year? Especially when we'll be loaded at the forwards and center and very light on the guards.

Based on my review of what has been posted about Otto, Kansas, and Missouri, I would be pretty disappointed not to land Otto at this point. We should be in the driver's seat to seal the deal when Otto visits weekend.
To me, Otto has the chance to come in, play right away, and maybe even start. It should be a pretty compelling hoops situation for him.
We would be adding some serious length to this team at the 3/4 by adding Otto, Greg, and Mikael.
