Someone who has seen him play compare him to another player so we can get a feel for his game.

While I have not seen him play, from the highlights I've seen and everything I've read, my guess is that he'd be similar to a guy like Brad Wanamaker. Both 6'4" defensive minded tough guys with the ability to slash and create. Both fom philli.

To address my prior posts regarding the recruitment of Otto Potter, my veiled conclusions were indeed speculative, and based on our current recruiting pattern. I do view a curious pattern emerging in our 2011 recruiting which is not easily explained. That has me worried about who might leave. Apologies to board moderators - will keep it in check going forward.

Jabril had a slight increase in ESPN's rankings (Dave Telep's now) to 78 overall.
Mikael in at 76.

i think he's more talented than Wanamaker. That's pretty high praise. I would ecstatic if he was in Wanamaker's league.

While, like all of us, I am VERY impressed with the recruiting efffort by the staff, just topped off with the addition of Otto, I have a feeling about Jabril Trawick, mostly based on this article. I am sure this has been posted before, but wow this is a solid kid. humble yet tough who actually realizes the value of a Hoya education, beyond hoops. This kid might just be the glue that makes this class one of the best ever.....all this with as Telep said: he's "man strong" with that "Philly toughness".

Jabril is playing in the IS8 pool play this weekend.
16 yesterday in a win, 25 today in a win.
JonRothstein:
Jabril Trawick is a great get for Georgetown. Burly wing will do major things for the Hoyas.

Tweet Trawick is a breath of fresh air and will change a lot of things attitude wise within the program--if he's allowed to. Toughness and attitude needed to the choir boys (talking on the court behavior) and one aspect that I've enjoyed hearing/reading about the newcomers--they like to work and are hungry about being better players. Trawick, Whittington, and Porter specifically seem to be in a gym daily or doing something to improve themselves. Liked reading about Bernardi's work ethic, and that matters a great deal more. Need to get hungrier players who are tougher on the court. Enough with the sissy ball/nice guy crap on the court.

GothamHoops
Jabril Trawick a future Georgetown Hoya showing out right now early in the game
I've yet to see him play but I'm glad that when people finally do, they have good/great things to say. Telep raves about him and had him ranked while other services slept and didn't bother hence why he wasn't ranked.
Really looking forward to Kenner League this year.

At the very least, from Day 1 he'll be a pest in practice and make JC, HT and MS work harder.

Some of this is legit but when you start talking about my kids as choir boys, sissy ball nice guy crap I just cannot buy that...true fans don't talk about their teams like this. If there are some things we need to work on fine, but for a grown man or person to talk about a bunch of 18 year olds in college which is their first priority you outta be shamed about yourself.

"my kids?" To whom are you referring? Are you a parent of a current player on the team?
