The clown people really should call out is Telep, who tweeted the 'Georgetown is a lock' BS all day when clearly it was simply a ruse to hold interest for the ESPN show he was co-hosting. Telep never said that and of all the "experts", he was by far the most responsible one in not saying where he thought Noel was leaning. There are a lot of people who fanned the flames but like I said earlier, no one knew and all of this "smoke" for Georgetown was just hot air and justification for cashing their checks this week. Hell, when I was at USAT and ESPN, people called me an NFL/NBA expert all the time, and I found it laughable. I had a hunch it was Kentucky and no one here can honestly say they're surprised. Move on and make an impression on Pollard. That's all the staff can do.

Well, I guess we don't have to worry about how to make sure that our prized recruit gets enough playing time playing behind the unstoppable force that will be Moses!

How many people don't think we lead for him as of say 3 pm this afternoon? I'd bet $10,000 that all those rumors were actually accurate at the time. It's just Cal can bet a little more than $10,000.

How many people don't think we lead for him as of say 3 pm this afternoon? Yes, he has UK shaved into his flat top, but he was undecided as of 3 PM this afternoon. Wake up and smell the coffee, the "Hoyas in the lead" thing was all a lie planted to create some drama for the TV announcement tonight. If everyone knew he was going to UK, no one would have watched.

first thing i said to my wife after the announcement was "im glad he isn't coming...taking my talents, give me a break..." This of course is complete sour grapes. Of course I wanted him and I am disappointed. it would have been great for future recruiting 1 and dones or 1 and 2's and 3's when they consider themselves 1 and dones. would have been good for next year with otto, greg, starks and our other bigs coming back / returning from injury. could have even been another elite 8, maybe final 4... but im trying to look at the silver lining... his offensive game is UNDER developed, what if he came here and sucked? Cuse probably took a bit of a step back with melo's failed 1 and done effort right? What if he couldn't get off the bench because his O is so bad? that would have been TERRIBLE for recruits, right? What if he didn't go to class, didn't participate in the GU tradition and was a cancer on the team??? (I know he keeps saying he wants to get back to his studies which makes me think he wouldnt be like that...but Im trying to think of the silver lining). But seriously - his offensive game is weak - it is a real possibility he wouldn't hvae done well here in a 1 year situation. so maybe it was for the best... yea - I'm reaching. I wish he said he was coming to g town sans "taking my talents.." comment. Cannot agree more with what you just have said. He's a good player, but in overall, as a complete basketball player, he's going to bring so-so impact IMO, similar to Perry Jones III and Andre Drummond.

This. I don't know how long it takes to have letters made from one's hair, but it's pretty clear this wasn't a last second decision. I don't believe we were ever leading today, or yesterday, and it's no fault of Boumtje or the other sources that they were strung along. $ won out in the end, but it's not a bad basketball choice (as Syracuse would have been). We need to move on.

Yep, we were punked. Let's face the truth. He was always on Kentucky's payroll radar.

Fair enough. I didn't actually watch it, nor was I willing to wade through 9 pages of comments once I saw the outcome, so I missed the bit about his hair.
That being said, it couldn't take that long could it?

It takes about 10 minutes to have UK shaved into the back of your head, especially one as weak as what he had done. It may have been a whole ruse, he may have switched when he got to the Jordan Brand Classic, well never know.

I am not disagreeing with you but how long do you think it takes to shave a logo into your head? he could have decided at 830 and still had the do ready

If we're going by "smoke" Georgetown will never compete on the recruiting trail in cases like this. I'm fine with that. It's complete BS but I prefer that our school go with the spirit of the rules and not the letter. I'll take competitive and clean over dominant and dirty. Period. Let's shut this down.
