Even mentioned in The Fix:
.Bill Clinton @ Big East Tourney... How 'bout tham Hoyas! Seriously, why was Bill Clinton talking up Syracuse last night on ESPN? As a Hoya, were you personally offended? And why wasn't he at the Georgetown game? We need some serious investigative reporting on this issue. – March 12, 2010 10:35 AM Permalink A.Chris Cillizza writes: Um, YES. Why the heck was Bubba watching Cincy-WVU -- ad admittedly great game -- but was nowhere to be found during the Hoya game?
It's bad enough that Veep Biden is a Cuse grad, now we have one of our own talking up Syracuse?
KILLS me.

And again:
Q.Clinton attended Georgetown, but... ...he lives in New York, where Syracuse is located, and which his wife represented in the Senate. – March 12, 2010 11:46 AM Permalink A.Chris Cillizza writes: Ridiculous explanation. I am FROM Connecticut where rooting for the Huskies is de rigeur.
Do I root for them? Hell no. Because I WENT TO GEORGETOWN.
Hoya. Saxa.

I don't know who the Fix is, but he has the right attitude. This transcends political affiliation. The hierarchy is God, Country, Family (unless said family goes to Syracuse or Duke), School, Job.
The Beach Boys said it best--be true to your school.

He is not a Hoya fan. on March 20, 1994 we lost to arkansas in the NCAA T.
bubba was at the game roooting for the razorbacks. i asked him how could possibly root against the Hoyas and he said that arkansas was his 1st love. Him letting the country know that he likes the orange is hardly shocking.

Stupidest thread ever - get rid of it. Actually, I'm pretty sure the thread in which people were bashing on Chris Wright during the season has to qualify as "stupidest thread ever."

I can assure all of the people of a different political persuasion than I that, if Antonin Scalia had made similar remarks, I would be just as Editeded off at him as I am at the former President. There are more than a few Hoyatalk members who were also not part of the Big East when they were in college. I don't hear any of them slurping the Orange. But, with that, I'll let it go. I'll focus my disgust on BUM to keep the mojo going. Antonin Scalia doesn't believe in basketball, because it isn't referenced in the Constitution. This is a common misapprehension even in the legal community. God knows I've tried to change that but I find that when you're cuffed, no one listens. It's a Fifth Amendment issue at base: equal protection and due process, the foundation of our system: the Magna Carta Basketballis. BTW, did Philodemic Man ever go to a game? Ever? Just askin'.

Have I ever mentioned my feelings about that scrappy Terps crew?
"There, sir, lies your enemy,' as Scipio AfricEdited Basketballis once said to a sub-ordinate commander, "dispatch him lest he take you from the rear."
