FWIW I'm fairly confident that if they asked JTIII the same questions about Syracuse he would have been equally complimentary and advocated them getting a 1 seed with the same fervor. He has previously said they're the best team in the country. Should we disown him too?

JTIII might say "I love playing Syracuse, and BEATING them!"

If McAuliffe is such a big Syracuse fan and Bill loves his alma mater so much, what the hell were they doing at the night session instead of the one game that truly mattered yesterday? I didn't have much of a problem with the interview, but what's up with the game selection?

He is merely engaging in his Jesuitical training -- the ability to hold two competing thoughts in his head and reconcile them. Got it! As I try to explain to folks why BC brought up the definition of 'is,' that at GU we actually thought about such things ... once.

Defending a Georgetown alum that, regardless of context, utters the words "I love Syracuse" and there are posters DEFENDING him? Welcome to Bizarro Hoyatalk. I know we get too fired up after wins and too dejected after losses but this is completely uncharted territory.

Clinton is a politician and that's what they do. And when your wife represents lots of voters who wear orange, you better be careful what you say.

Who's his wife representing DFW?
I can't believe that people can't tell the difference between "not bashing other teams" and saying "I love Syracuse...I cheer for them every game."
Of course, I think we all know half the posters here are yellow dogs that would gladly vote a Boeheim-Calhoun ticket if they had the right letterd after their names.

Bill Clinton made a contradictory, self-serving and cowardly statement when talking. In other news, the sun rose in the East.

I don't know why this is such an issue. Let's kick the crap out of Marquette tonight. If you want to bash Clinton, go to a Tea Party.

I didn't have much of a problem with the interview, but what's up with the game selection? Agreed, I mean they were at the Cincy-WVU game!?!?! Why wouldn't these men go see their alma mater's play? Its not like BC has to do something important during the day

I can assure all of the people of a different political persuasion than I that, if Antonin Scalia had made similar remarks, I would be just as Editeded off at him as I am at the former President. There are more than a few Hoyatalk members who were also not part of the Big East when they were in college. I don't hear any of them slurping the Orange. But, with that, I'll let it go. I'll focus my disgust on BUM to keep the mojo going. Antonin Scalia doesn't believe in basketball, because it isn't referenced in the Constitution.
