Yes I agree, and he will be ready to play without all the redshirt talk.

Quick jumpers with long limbs killed us again vs WVU...we need to address that....I would take both if I could especially with Monroe leaving.

I am not so sure about that, Jordan. Reddic is very talented/athletic, but he does not have the size/heft to really hold down the paint in the Big East. Moses's size gives me more confidence that he could eat minutes for us.

I don't think any of this talking would be going on if he (or his adviser) didn't announce a date for a decision. I have no problem with him taking his time as it's the smart thing to do. This is a Major decision for him to make just like all of us had to make at one point (some easier than others). The only problem I have is if it's a playing time issue that's holding him back from GU, then he has already pigeon-holed himself as not being good enough to play here. I personally want guys that are confident enough in themselves and their work ethic too play themselves on the court.

We'll hear when we hear. A carefully considered decision is in the best interest of Moses and Georgetown.

While it would sting to lose a kid that the staff has put in so much time and effort to recruit, it's not the end of the world and the class we already have is solid from top to bottom with the possibility of still landing another big.
I just don't want to see a meltdown over a kid 99.9% of the board has never even see play.

If so - and it apperars that nothing about this kid is set in stone - would think it good for us - hard to believe a kid just in this country for a few monthes would pick a place he had never even visited. Of course it has happened before, but usually when the recruit still lives overseas, not when he has the opportunity to make a visit here.

I really hope JTIII has a contingency play if Moses does not commit to Georgetown. In my mind, the staff should be focused on determining whether Korleone Young and Derrick Payne have any eligibility remaining.

If he makes a pick, I expect it to be GU.

Crean has developed Novak (6'10 shooter), Hayward (undersize forward who will have a hard time finding time in the league), Ousmane Barro (probably playing somewhere abroad). Compare that to Gtown with Green (#5 pick), Hibbert (first rounder playing strong for Pacers), Sweetney #8 picked who fizzled, Ewing #1 pick, Mutombo, Mourning #2 pick, Reid (2nd rounder who stuck in the league for years), Jahidi White, (2nd rounder who stuck for a long time). This is the biggest no brainer in the history of the earth (bad radio commercial). The only argument could be for instant playing time without any effort which I don't think translates into a better potential professional game. You need to compete in practice. You're being generous to Crean. Novak is and always was a shooter and could stick the 3 from the second he stepped on campus. He was basically as good on Senior Day as he was as a freshman. Lazar became a player the last two years under Buzz, after Creepy packed his bags. I won't even dignify the mention of Ousmane Barro with a response.

If Moses doesn't sign, I would be extremely concerned about JTIII's recruiting ability. This would NOT look good.

If Moses doesn't sign, I would be extremely concerned about JTIII's recruiting ability. This would NOT look good. Why? Why do people freak out about this crap? Recruiting is always somewhat of a crapshoot. You treat it as if it is a formula: GU > Indiana so if we lose it is some catastrophic thing. Remember when we lost Duke Crews? Aaron Pettway? Even good players like Jerome Dyson? We get other good players and we move on. No one bats 100%, even at schools like Kansas and UNC. There's a million reasons to pick a school and some are uncontrollable, and some you wouldn't want (for example, IU's strongest sell is a massive amount of PT, even if you suck).

I agree that the sky is not falling even if he goes elsewhere, but the lack of braswell, riley, and/or a reliable sims makes frontcourt depth a real issue next year. have to think JTIII is tracking the situation and not giving crean the last word.

Not saying that he will be committing to the Hoyas at 7pm, but I find it hard to believe that he will be committing to the Hoosiers at 7pm given that he has never visited Bloomington.

If John Thompson Jr. hadn't gushed about the kid's ability I wouldn't be following this saga. That being said JT II's word on defensive minded bigs carries huge weight. If Moses wasn't really good I can't see Pops going to see him.

If Moses wasn't really good I can't see Pops going to see him. JT2's interest in this kid is what got me reading this thread also. Defensive ability and rebounding ability were always first with him and he knows that is what his son's team needs right now. A defensive stopper under the basket who is a tenacious rebounder who, once he gets a hand on the ball the other team does not even try to strip him like they regularly do with success to Monrue,Vaughn and Thompson.
